Is it just your CPK balance that is zero, or your entire wallet missing?

In this 1507 update we moved the wallet.dat location (the whole datadir moved) to ~/.biblepay.

Please ensure your wallet.dat has been moved there too?

Also please ensure you are synced to the top per the explorer.biblepay.org or the chainz explorer.

On a side note Togo, I have found out since explorer.biblepay.org shows tx's on sidechains and main chains, I usually suggest chainz, so know that there is no offense against your explorer, just the problem that people get confused if they click on a side chain tx.

When I updated the wallet, I replaced wallet.dat in the new BiblePay folder with wallet.dat from the old BiblepayEvolution folder. If wallet.dat was missing, would my correct balance show on the Overview tab and with the command 'listaddressbalances'?

Also I am not sure why I am not listed on the Leaderboard. Boinc is running fine and my contribution history is shown on the WCG website. Maybe I should back up wallet.dat, uninstall the wallet and start from scratch?

I have not been getting regular PODC rewards since updating my wallets. Any idea why my external purse coinage shows 0?

Aha, I see the problem, I was looking in the wrong area.
First,
"When I updated the wallet, I replaced wallet.dat in the new BiblePay folder with wallet.dat from the old BiblepayEvolution folder. If wallet.dat was missing, would my correct balance show on the Overview tab and with the command 'listaddressbalances'?

"

->  Since you moved the wallet.dat, all your balances should be fine.  I see in your listaddressbalances, you have the credits, so yes, everything moved, afaik.

->  Looking at our datalist associations (exec associate etc), I can see your BQ5 is definitely associated with your cpid  98aa.  So, no you wont have to start over from scratch.  Its just a matter of ensuring your BQ5 is funded, but I see you do have the balance of 26K in there, so that is not the problem.

That leads us only to one final thing, why is exec rac showing zero coin age, but yet you funded your CPK?

The problem I believe is your biblepay.conf file, could you please go back to your old bbp config file and extract the contents that have your Christian public key public and private rows, and paste them in your biblepay.conf in the ~/.biblepay location?

Then if you do that and restart the wallet, then do the exec rac, you should see your rac then.  The primary issue is the wallet does not have access to the external purse anymore.

If you dont have access to those (conf keys) anymore, I can tell you how to recreate that data with commands.

What happens, when you manually do "sendgscc wcg"? Some days ago I had the same problem and with this I got the following:
Quote
"Error!": "Sorry, you must set up an external purse to send GSC transmissions.  Please type 'exec createpurse help'."
Not sure why this happened, since I haven't changed anything for weeks and it always worked just fine. Anyway, unlocking the wallet and then performing "exec createpurse help" solved it and I'm now in the leaderboard again.

Yeah, I think you ran into the exact same problem.  So let me explain the mechanics of the external purse.

The external purse is nothing more than the public and private keypair associated with the "Christian-Public-Key", which is the one that is used for PODC staking.
When you run the 'exec associate' command, we store those two keys in your biblepay.conf file (they start with externalpub and externalpriv).  When the config data is moved, these keys should be moved also.

Without them the wallet won't stake automatically as it cant access a way to sign the transaction.

So these should still be copied in Dave.  If you cant access them from the old biblepay.conf, I can tell you how to recreate the key manually.

To all others:  Anyone who needs to move your datadir, please dont recreate biblepay.conf please copy it so you maintain all the old keys.

Actually Dave, your right, 'exec createpurse' does re-write the keys if they don't exist.

2)  On the XMRig, yes, we plan on pulling in the latest changes as time permits.  But we are not using an extremely old version, its only about 60 days old now.  But yes, if we can draft in more devs into this project those things will be more timely.  I don't mind doing it occasionally, the non-mission-critical changes are just competing with new gospel features, you see (but of course, if its a security update we will do it right away for example).  Im sure you can understand that this week for instance Im trying to release an hourly prize in the new pool for RX miners who answer gospel quiz'es, etc.

I will check this out and come back to you in case I find some hard to solve conflicts

Sounds good.  Yes lets discuss this soon as I have to explain something about their machine language commits.

I just did a quick merge with a few conflicts
https://github.com/biblepay/xmrig/pull/2

Anyway I sent you a couple comments by email for you to review, in case I didn't resolve them properly.

Ok, I added the additional 3 lines from the old .conf file to the new one. Exec rac still shows no coins but maybe it takes some time?

Also, should the first line be 'addnode=explorer.biblepay.org' or 'addnode=node.biblepay.org'?

Lastly, does it matter if the coins have been bankrolled?

Thank you.

Sorry, what is the function of command "sendgscc wcg"?

This command manually creates the transaction that normally is done by your wallet.

Strangely, I see a PoDC payment from 4/2 but not wcg tx sent for like a week.

I wonder if you are on a fork and need to perform an erasechain?
https://whitewalr.us/2019/biblepay-erasechain-not-reindex.html

If you type getblock 186571 and your hash is d519e4f3308546fcecb913afdace3cc6f773fd75d0a592a59e43a48a444fc403  then you don't need to do the erasechain.

If the block hash is different, perform the erasechain and resync the chain.

Sorry for all of the posts and thanks for all of the help. Looks like I solved the problem with 'exec createpurse help'.

I have specific steps here that will prevent this issue:
https://whitewalr.us/2020/bbp-1507-mandatory.html

After you upgrade your BiblePay to the latest version (but not run the BiblePay wallet in Windows), you can rename the folder from biblepayevolution to biblepay

This will avoid the specific problem you had.

Thank you.

1) Explorer.biblepay is better, but, our seed nodes should work anyway
2) You do have to restart the wallet after changing biblepay.conf, then run exec rac.  You should still see some coin-age even if its miniscule.
3) You dont have to re-bankroll the coins, but if you did the coin-age will be pretty low til it builds up again.

You can test your external purse with 'exec boinc1'.
If its setup, it will send 1 bbp back to you.

new bbprig: no problems on Win10 x64 as well as Ubuntu 18.04 x64. Smiley

Regarding the Quiz: awesome stuff, I tried it yesterday and it worked just fine, although I have to admit that (as a non-native speaker) I need the KJV bible for that, otherwise I would never think of some of the words used there.  Grin

One question though: where do the coins for the quiz reward come from? Is this some part of the monthly budget for advertising etc.?

Thanks on the quiz,  Yeah, I couldnt find a NKJV text format like we have, so I used the actual wallet as a source.  But as far as solving it, you can use an online bible resource for example, if you receive 1 Corinthians 10, then just google "1 Corinthians chapter 10 KJV" and something like bible gateway will come up.  I realize some view that as cheating but the idea in this quiz is not to prove someone memorized the entire bible, but instead to get them to read the 10 verses (as solving it requires them to read it).

The coins are coming from my wallet, I figure what better way to grow the project than invest in it myself.

(We dont have a budget for payroll or PR for a while til we pay off the last new exchange fund deficit, and I hope that is finished within 6 months).

EDIT:  Thats great on bbprig!  Hopefully it solves a couple of these other problems we heard of also.

Some changes coming for the Android BOINC client. https://github.com/BOINC/boinc/issues/3561 This may finally allow them to be able to port BOINC to iOS due to the executables being packaged rather than downloading from external sources.

So we still need some testers to test the 2FA, I see we have a little bit of testing but I think everyone forgot to finish.

I'm struggling with the SSO on foundation.biblepay.org - no matter what I do when I login, it just takes me back to the homepage with a "Default?redir=0#" URL and insists I am not logged in. If I log into forum first (which works fine) and then hit the foundation link at the top, I am sent to foundation as a guest, where I then encounter the same behavior. This happens no matter the duration of my "stay logged in" field OR if I check the checkbox to be permanently logged in. I tried on multiple browsers, including an incognito mode test.

As a result, I can't access foundation account settings to add 2FA

** Sanctuary and Chainlocks Bulletin for block 187,000 **

Now that RandomX is stable and our difficulty has surpassed 1.0, we are planning to enable Chain Locks.  This is an exciting moment for Biblepay.

Realize that we are one of the few coins that exist that have chainlocks in Production (Other than Dash, who created it).

And, I believe we are the first Bitcoin based coin to have RandomX.

In preparation for this, anyone who has a sanctuary, could you please ensure it is up and running?  As, once we enable Chain Locks, we move into strict mode meaning the Sanctuaries will be POSE banned and not paid if they do not respond to quorum requests.  Obviously we want to have a smooth cutover.

Lets shoot for block 187,000.

Ok, I see the problem; people without avatars are being blocked;  we fixed this once but it got reverted somehow;  Now either account should work again;  Please try again.

That's coming up in 40 blocks. This is very exciting.

Yes, I have set up 2FA now and confirmed it worked. A few test cases I tried out:

1) Set up 2FA in foundation. Log out of everything. Sign in to foundation and be prompted for 2FA
1a) Enter wrong info, it is correctly rejected
1b) Enter right info, I get in.
2) Sign out again, sign into forum, then click the "foundation" link. Now I am "Guest" again until I enter my 2FA pin.

Seems like it is doing what it should, at least from my basic tests.

Great!  Mine is working too for my account (so far I dont see any holes).

If you want you can set up a 2nd forum account, and log in from an incognito window or another browser (by making a 2nd foundation account) and see if you can confuse it, but I doubt there is a way.

Or we can wait until deposits work and test further.  I feel like deposits will be ready within a day or two.

**  POOL CHANGE BULLETIN  **

All,

Since the rx pool at rx.biblepay.org has been slightly flaky again this morning, let's please try to point all mining traffic to foundation.biblepay.org's pool, so we can stress test it.

If its successful we will scale that pool out instead.

I have just redirected our DNS record over (temporarily) to push the rx.biblepay.org:3001 traffic to foundation starting now, but I prefer that everyone manually changes their configs.

Please see the getting started guide here:
https://foundation.biblepay.org/GettingStarted

This pool uses vardiff on port 3001.

With this change, how does one get an account in order to review the mining information? The structure of "Foundation" is very different from NOMP. Will this change?

There is another site that is active - http://biblepay.miningpool.fun - Is this site in addition to Foundation within the same blocks? The reason I ask is if I mine on Foundation and then mine on miningpool.fun, will I be listed with the same XMR wallet, or separate ones that must build high enough to withdraw funds to an external wallet?

Thank you for your time!   Cheesy

Hi,

1) The miningpool.fun brings me to a site that is down?  Not sure if that is a biblepay resource, or a monero resource.

2)  You don't need an account to mine at foundation.biblepay.org - see the getting started guide.  Its so similar to nomp that you can just switch the dns address and continue mining.

On a side note, as long as things look good in 48 hours, we will bring rx.biblepay.org back up to let it make all the old payments.  You don't have to change either of your addresses btw.
