Yes,  maybe most of the replies here are true.  Im a mother, i just focus my attention in my kids and taking all the necessary household work.  But,  many of the woman involved in bitcoin wants to have their own career while in the comfort  of their home.  I want to help my husband to earn extra, thats why in trying to study and learn the basic of bitcoins and other cryptos and how to trade them.  Maybe some of the. Women here are just shy,  or mostly the forum are just focus in bitcoins talks, disregarding the gender of the people. After all we have equality, even if we dont know the real gender here, we still give comments. Were here just around the corner.

I'll love to see more women embrace Bitcoin. I'm one of the few women that started early

Well I am happily part of it. Women are kore likely to stay at home doing household chores and being deprived doing what we need and want to experience but in this generation women are more likely to be strong, independent and productive we can also be profitable here do whatever a man can do , cause bitcoin is a fair system in which gender doesnt matter.

Because women need to spend more time to take care of the family and life. It takes a lot of time to encrypt money, and I think it's one of the reasons why women are less in the encrypted currency circle.

I think women are less exposed to bitcoin in bitcoin extraction. Women have to look after their children and work in the kitchen. But I still want women with a lot of experience and knowledge about bitcoin

Actually I do not know anything about these things. But based on my understanding. Many in the past are lazy and do not want to work so they look for alternative work to earn money for those who do not struggle for 6 to 8 hours of work. And I think the bitcoins are degraded here so many men here.

Take a look around the crypto community, both in meatspace and online, and it would be fair to say that the majority of participants are male. This is borne out in a recent survey of 2,000 Americans which shed light on the makeup of the bitcoin space, highlighting a stark gender divide. In fact Google Analytics data estimates less than 4% of bitcoin users to be female. The question is, why?

There's more men trying to make money online compared to women because women like to shop more than men do.

Women's nature is to spend, not to invest. Sad but true. Dont get me wrong, Im a woman too. Maybe the majority of us focused only on savings or liquid money for spending. Most of us also didnt want to be in a risky situation where we have an unpredictable profit. Id love to see more women on the Bitcoin world.

It would be great if more women will join bitcoin community. But as you say, women like spend money, not to earn it or invest (of course, we can't say that this point of view concerns all of them, but affects most ladies).

I hope there would be more and more women in crypto world, but even my sister who have great sallary and stable income know about crypto and blockchain only that "it is something too volatile and linked with crime"...

I think women are not interested in bitcoin, women are always busy with their families. They need to take care their family, so many women there who don't understand the crypto currency. Some women don't believe bitcoin.

Women are not involved in IT/technology stuff as much as men. And they also tend to stay on the safe side when investing. So I would say, it is possible that they find Bitcoin risky.

I remember seeing ladies around but seems like there aren’t too many as compared to men.

I feel it is because ladies are mostly not interested in technologies. At least the ladies around me. They play with iPhone and some gadgets but prefer not to go too technical.

These are seemingly the top 10 women in the crypto space as of 2017 (source: core magazine). Some I agree with some I totally dont agree with and dont see why they should be on this list. But yeah, we definitely need more women in this space, they are clearly underrepresented!

I have noticed the same thing with politics not only with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I think it's mainly because the past was like this and the present is still adapting to it. In the past (and still today) women are taking care of the house, meanwhile men have to bring money into the house. At least that's how it's going on several nations of this world.

I'm women and i have known bitcoin since 2015. And because bitcoin still very unfamiliar so i disregard it. and now i'm regret it. And until now still many women do not know about bitcoin. Many women more interested into the household jobs or office. For them invest in bitcoin it's very risky.

Another woman here but I'm still new in Bitcoin. Tend to be a fast learner though and like all kinds of things. Was really surprised when I realized that there aren't a lot of women in Cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. However just like I'm here others will likely join in the near future. Some likely because of me consistently talking about it Smiley .....

I think the reason behind why there are more men involving in this kind of business and where the women are the least is because of the culture, diversity, norms or tradition that establish in their community.
Many people sees women must in the house and serve the family with duly care.

women are not fit to work with bitcoin, probably because women will not want to sit around the clock in front of a computer
women are very easy to get bored, especially when it comes to investing, I do not think there will be women who want to invest with bitcoin, because women will prefer gold rather than bitcoin, women tend to prefer low risk investments, and gold is the solution not bitcoin

I have never called out another forum user, but this comment is just stupid and condescending.  In the world today, the technology sector is mostly men and the financial sector is mostly men.  Bitcoin combines both of these (technology and finance), so there are even less women who would have knowledge and/or interest.  That is not to say that women are not welcome in these sectors (I am in the tech sector and have never felt like I didn't belong), it's just they don't tend to move in this direction as much as men do.
