I think the reasoning behind this would be that men in general are more of a risktaker when compared to majority of women you are more haooy to be in the safe zone.

I believe that it is because most women think the process in Bitcoin is complex. I have had the chance to talk to a few women about Bitcoin and anytime i start using some of the terminologies, all they will say is that they cannot understand this and most will end up saying that they will invest but i have to manage the accounts for them. I think the reason is that they think Bitcoin is a bit complicated.

Not necessarily, here you can not see who the original player. It could be here the users of women or housewives, how can you say if women are not more in bitcoin? how do you know it? i guess you are just guessing it.
I think it's true. As I see in Telegram groups or any other place, the number of men in cryptocurrencies is more than number of women.

Why are you so surprised that are women so underrepresented in the cryptocurrency community? Women statistically were never inventors or explorers. They would rather stay at home, safe rather than engage in potentially dangerous endeavours - and bitcoin trading is kinda new and uncharted territory. I managed to find an interesting article online. Here is the most interesting fragment: "According to the traffic-tracking site Alexa, women are vastly underrepresented on bitcointalk.org, the major Bitcoin discussion forum, and a poll by one forum member found 88.7 percent of respondents identified as male (and of the remaining, 5.3 percent selected “other,” leaving just six percent as female). So rare are women in the community, in fact, that the forums warn members not to do business with “any user blatantly claiming to be female”—because they’re probably a scammer." It's a faulty conclusion. I'm a woman and I started learning cryptocurrency because I know that this will be our future. Yes, it was a bit complex for me, but it worth all my efforts!

There is one clear explanation for this phenomenon and that is because unlike men who goes rushing to the news of an opportunity to make money, women tend to analyse and sometimes even over analyse situations when it comes to managing and making investments with money. Ladies as less trusting to money making schemes.

Take a look around the crypto community, both in meatspace and online, and it would be fair to say that the majority of participants are male. This is borne out in a recent survey of 2,000 Americans which shed light on the makeup of the bitcoin space, highlighting a stark gender divide. In fact Google Analytics data estimates less than 4% of bitcoin users to be female. The question is, why? Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/why-arent-there-more-women-in-bitcoin/?utm_source=WhyI dont think if women interesting in this kind of work. because we know that only few used bitcoin as you say there are only 4% of bitcoin users in the world that female. i think because it is in online and they think it scam or just bored and we know that men was more got interesting in one thing if we have gain in it and we know that women was do shopping in one things before it they got interested. we male was more on the online and as an male i fond in this kind of work that female think it is boring. Oh! This sounds funny. Not all women dude. Even in this forum there are lots of women here participating. In bounty campaigns there are also women. Maybe in general less women than men maybe because women are more busy in their responsibilities as women. They spend more time taking care of the house, children and food and all the household chores while men has all their time sitting on thr computer all day.

I am a woman myself but most of my female friends show no interest or very little. I have to say that I am interested but not to the same level as all the tech guys around me...so it might be a bit in the genes too.

Women won't get into technology related activities in a short. It takes them time to get a clear understanding about bitcoin as well cryptocurrency. At present men itself not aware of bitcoin much, so how could women be knowledged on the same. In future mutual participation can be seen.

well I think it is interest men are more into looking for a new source of income to feed their family which of course include a woman (wife). its man that do alot of thinking how to invest and exploit all available opportunity. woman might know bitcoin but it shows no interest until the coin is converted into fiat. me personally find it more difficult to convince women to invest in bitcoin than men. when you explain to them the answer you will get is ' I will tell my husband about'

Yes i agree with you no one can know who the player of bitcoin is. Because it is secret no one can see it is a women or man who is using bitcoin. If it is a man or a women its aim is to invest now it is not a problem of bitcoin it just need that people invest in them. Not need any gender differences. The person haven’t any valid argument about it he is simply guessing.

Yes I have also studied that men are more risk takers than females and that is making the sense that why females are not more than males in bitcoin and its investment. But sometimes I also think that no one know in bitcoin community that who are they so no one also know the genders. So it is also possible that there are many females but we do not know about them and bitcoin is an anonymous community of anonymous currency.

Well for some reason not all women. Because I am a woman and I know a lot of women who are into bitcoin too. They are also active in different signature campaigns and bounty campaigns so to speak. But ofcourse they are women who are much active in their own personal lives, responsibilities in their family and some busy shopping. But regardless of that still you can see a lot of women who are enjoying themselves, including me to be part of bitcoin.😊

I think that women are less proned to take risks and gravitate toward stability, and crypto currencies are fraught with risks

In the digital world and the concept of being too techy, the female species tend to shun away from it as the psychological make up of most women is that of anything abstract, artistic, language, words, and emotions. Most women really tend to do away with the idea of having to analyze things because it simply is too much too think about and so since the world of cryptocurrencies, trading, and investing, the male specie is one to be counted on. I don't want to generalize really but this explanation also applies to my set up at home, I'm the one in bitcoins and all while my wife does not really bother with is much. Same is true for my brother-in-law, he's the one who's into the online currency and his wife just takes care of the hoisehold chores and kids. Very sexist but that's reality for me.

Many of the woman involved in bitcoin wants to have their own career while in the comfort of their home. I want to help my husband to earn extra, thats why in trying to study and learn the basic of bitcoins and other cryptos and how to trade them. Maybe some of the. Women here are just shy, or mostly the forum are just focus in bitcoins talks, disregarding the gender of the people. After all we have equality, even if we dont know the real gender here, we still give comments. Were here just around the corner.

That's from my opinion and point of view only. A great observation was dealt in here. The one who put or recommended me here is also a male and it doesn't even pop up to my mind that they would be interested in such thing. And now he's earning a lot together with other males whom I know.

Interestingly enough, it does not matter if you are a man, woman, gay, or lesbian in the cryptoworld, as long as one keeps supporting the industry and trying to make a lot of contribution to the betterment of the community. Man and woman work hand in hand without bias in this community that is why it is very healthy.
