A dating topic where crypto enthusiasts could look for their crypto-matches in the off-topic category would be quite funny, if the likely disproportion between males and females were not so big. Smiley

Take a look around the crypto community, both in meatspace and online, and it would be fair to say that the majority of participants are male. This is borne out in a recent survey of 2,000 Americans which shed light on the makeup of the bitcoin space, highlighting a stark gender divide. In fact Google Analytics data estimates less than 4% of bitcoin users to be female. The question is, why?

Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/why-arent-there-more-women-in-bitcoin/?utm_source=Why

I think women are very less familiar with Bitcoin. More about this men are more experts. Many women understand  internet less.So they are lagging behind. But hopefully, women will be able to know about Bitcoin and earn Bitcoin .

You know I agree but I don't think all of these men would be well suited for dating. I mean if you look at some of the youtube videos of MGTOW and pretty much any dating site MEN COMPLAIN that women ignore their one liner messages, don't want to date them or being decent doesn't as a platonic friend doesn't give them access to a woman's body.

Even if there were more women on here I don't think "crypto" necessarily makes one compatible with another. I've read threads on here over the years about "women" and it tends to take on a very reductive bent of "women are just good for one thing". So how exactly would someone that minimizes women to just one element ever be able to attract women they appear to loathe in one respect or another? I mean we're not even getting into what these men even look like so they could most surely be invisible to the women they find most appealing. It would be logical to reject women that don't even know they exist right?

Sure in some countries certain men are kept in shape but in others? If you're spending 90% of your day sitting behind a computer and just EATING with minimal movement, you're likely to not be placed on the heartthrob list. What does that create? More porn watching? Drooling over the latest AI infused sex bot? I mean the more disconnected people are from reality the less likely they're able to interact effectively with REAL PEOPLE. Fantasy is fun but if you're only dealing with "women in fantasy elements that you control" then your view of them will be so off that a connection is likely to be quite difficult without a "COMMAND PROMPT".

The other issue is that at least in my country 40% of men 18-35 are living with their own parents usually a single mother. That's typically not a desirable setting for women that are out on their own, working and paying for their own place at an early adult age. In certain cultures this is a norm but in others it's viewed as "not adult enough" especially if the woman in question has been able to successfully survive on her own in a male dominated society.

So surely I enjoyed commenting in this thread because many that view women this way also have to contend with their own mothers being viewed like this by other men. How does that pan out right? Every woman is someone's sister, mother, daughter, wife, girlfriend, teacher, student, cousin, friend etc.

One thing is for sure women can't be blamed for BITCOIN DROPPING IN HALF. Perhaps if we do a campaign to tell all women to dump their BTC to you know buy "make up" and "clothing" lol it will still stick around the $10,000 mark right? Or maybe if we dump we could see BTC DROP BY HALF? LOL Grin I'm kidding:)

I find it interesting women make up half the population but so many men seem to not want women to adopt it. It's like they're shooting themselves in their own foot because crypto currency adopted by women makes them buy you know that make up and clothes, shoes and all of that stuff that we spend money on with oh what's it called? Ohh right BTC. Personally I feel another crypto may take the place of BTC because of the transaction times and fees associated because no wants to spend $20-$50 to send a payment.

Personally I started in the banking industry and later got into tech. I had to change things up during the recession for a bit to survive that horrible time and the subsequent aftershocks of that time. It seemed logical that my focus would be in something that combines  tech/crypto and banking/currency so cryptocurrency is and has been an incredible draw for me.

Because women tend to, prefer to work directly with others, meaning to meet directly with the crowd.
Because the level of boredom of women is higher than men.
Very rarely women who want to sit for hours in front of the computer
because it can make them stress.

How can we say that there are not more women in Bitcoin because privacy is not revealed to any of us. There are technicians of women who are smarter in this world so not only men. One thing also women are more patient and men have no patients. to sit in front of the computer so I do not think that there are not more women in Bitcoin transactions. Both sexes have the same capabilities as their own.

Most women are usually focused at home taking care of the kids and the chores. While men are naturally born provider of the family. And Bitcoin has been a good venue for good earnings. But nowadays women do help in the finances since it is more beneficial if both husband and wife generate income. This is the reason why regardless of how busy they are, they still allocate time for Bitcoin.

Because most women are not very concerned about encrypting money markets and making money.
They are more concerned with the family and their children.

Actually this likely disproportion that you point out as the buzz killing factor, can actually make it sooo funny. When I get to Full Member status and have a profile pic, I'll test my theory. Just wait, soon to come a Bitcointalk Dating Thread "Find your Bitmate" ("Bitmate" stands for Bitcoin+Soulmate"). You might think it's sooo girlish to say such stuff but I'm sure some guys will go crazy. It will be like Penny appearance in the BBT effect, I have a feeling. Will keep you updated, sweety Smiley

it is easy, most woman usually dont want to take the high risks and most of them dont want to waste money investing in some coins for longterm, everything they want is a safer way to guarantee their income, not just investing big like man that can loose of their money.
I do not think that most of the women are attached to any profession, and specially in south Asia where most of the girls are house wives and they only limited to care of  her children. While on other hand it can also be a reason that women usually cannot take such a big risk to invest their money in bitcoin and put their investment in such  big risk. In fact they mostly like to keep their money in safe and do not want to take any risk of losing their money.

I don't know but I would certainly enjoy more women in the work force here. It is great discussing theory with guys and all but a womens voice and opinion would be much appreciated as well. It does suck we are all isolated in our little areas, that is why I love bitcoin conferences for meeting up and networking with everybody Grin.

As to why? Everything is just a speculation. Maybe because women dont have patience checkng the market every time? Maybe women know less about crypto? I guess because women as more interested in other things like clothes, make ups, perfumes and how to be pretty. Men are more intersted in money and getting rich. Funny but that is what i am thinking  Cheesy

I'll love to see more women embrace Bitcoin. I'm one of the few women that started early

Cheers to all the women bold enough to brace the volatility in the market and actually sticking to it. Hoping more and more women flock to crypto community and actually explore that there's more to it than just holding bitcoin. But ofcourse, bitcoin is the start of our curiosity.

Females are not questioning 'why'

Why they have not been introduced to Bitcoin, why they should discuss Bitcoin and why they should participate. This is because they have got used to it being a masculine topic so immediately shy away from it without questioning why. As the total female participation is less than 5% then the exposure is next to nothing.

I am involved in Bitcoin? Why? My boyfriend discussing it with me in detail. The other avenue was the press but because there is so much FUD I was not as interested, I didn't understand the lifestyle, the true potential and the fact it is a supportive community.

It's a subject that seems to be safeguarded from females so I suggest you males start getting them involved by letting them know the lifestyle and the real potential it can bring them.

I hope this helps.

I guess men are up to for the job and women are up to for the house work and mother thing IF they were married, but if she's a single then what else where do you wanna see them? Most of them are too busy for the fame and money, so it is so opposite to what they wanted to do in an anonymous forum site.
