There is no desktop version of the wallet anywhere - neither on github, nor on the site...

This would be very strange if they don't update only the desktop version, there are still plenty of people who don't have or don't want to use wallets on their phones.

From what I have heard, there should be an update soon, but this same I have heard just after the hack (many weeks ago).

The progress was visible but TBH the price of HDAC never reflected this, I was surprised to see updates and the price going down every day.

Now this hack, don't know what to think but seems like Hdac is a very strange project with many question marks...

That is why I will wait until they resolve all problems, update everything and announce this officially to the community.

I waited already almost 4 years for HDAC to deliver and to my surprise despite big cooperation announcements, products releases, website changes, I watched the price going down all the time.

Every few weeks I have refreshed my wallet because I have still all my bounty tokens there and that is why I don't want to mess up because I have such filling that this "hack" comes in such moment when this project finally has a chance to take off.

I will be waiting and even if they will not release desktop wallets, I still have my HDAC seed and will be able to import my wallet always. I think it is the best way to deal with this situation because many times they literally count that big percent of supply will disappear because of lost seeds, wrongly updated wallets or any other mistakes which could occur after such a hack.

I waited for so long that another couple of months or even years will make no difference for me.

Of course, I remember this and TBH I don't understand how such a big project like HDAC, with such great big name behind (Hyundai) and so many achievements, still is at the lowest lows price-wise.
In my opinion, this totally insane and other projects would be already in the top 5 having so much to offer as HDAC.

I follow them from the beginning and they have constant updates (very frequently and on all social media channels), active development, very big announcements and lately they released these new products, which I even didn't know that they are in the pipeline. And now this hack, exactly at the moment when it could finally be worth something. This is so strange with all these "hacks" that they occur always in such circumstances where the project is on the edge of something.

I agree. In this case, the situation is similar to the situation with PundiX. PundiX made enormous fees on the ICO, Hdac has the big name (Hyundai). Both projects have signed many cooperation agreements, participated in conferences and summits, etc. Both projects divided one main goal into many small ones (terminals, cold wallets, etc). And as a result, we have a falling asset all the time, even in the presence of good news.

Funny thing, because before I read your comment, I have just spoked to a friend on Telegram (also our community member @TytanowyJanusz), and he was researching Obyte (some time ago it was Byteball), another project which also is on the same path as our Hdac or PundiX. Great development, products, progress and the price keeps going down no matter what. We talked a lot and it is really hard to grasp the insane reality of the crypto world, that in the end vaporware could be worth millions when great products are worth nothing.

Yesterday there was news that the mobile wallet will work again from October 19. It will take longer to restore the desktop version. Before launching, the mobile wallet will be updated to version 1.0.6.

In Google Play has a new version of the mobile wallet 1.0.6, which will soon be available for IOS. I installed it, but after launching the app, I only see the HDAC logo and nothing else happens. Before the swap of HDAC tokens, a snapshot is planned.

You are right, the coin price is based on the activity they perform and how far they are actively providing updates. Hdac team should always recruit one developer in order to solve the issues quickly and it will surely help them to gain trust in the market. If they are dragging things like this definitely they will loose more trust in the market.

Every time Bitcoin rises in price, other coins follow, but HDAC probably doesn't care about that. The price remains lower while the group is struggling to fix the error. Is there any chance for this coin?

Now the wallet is already syncing. I was able to restore my wallet using the seed phrase and the HDAC balance is displayed correctly.

Exactly, what you said is right, the team members should be in JAIL because more than 3 years till now, we don't see any real developments from the company, before ICO they promised a lot to the community and till now the didn't deliver even a single development of the team. Such a good team and how can they cheat the investors with such a huge fund during at the time crowdsales.

Exactly, every project is giving false promises to the investors in order to raise funds, but at last, they are losing value in the market. Hdac is one of the best ICO in 2017, which they managed to collect more than 200 million funds during at the time of their ICO, people who sold them in 2018 have made some decent profit.
