What a "fair" start, greatly optimized for nvidia, garbage for amd, that is amazing devs, congratulations.

Here's a question: what do you consider "fair"?  If they released an AMD miner, couldn't your logic just let you complain that people with more expensive cards are able to mine more than people with less expensive cards?

"What a fair start, people with 1080Ti get more coins than people with RX560"

You're going to want to say something like "that's not the same" but really think about why it's not the same - you're complaining that some people have an advantage over others.  That will always be true.  You should go look for an airdrop-only coin.

Here is what I think is a complete list of fair-launch principles, and whether Poly met them:

1) No pre-mine in genesis block (yes)
2) Zero blocks mined at first ANN (supposedly yes, though I haven't checked) [as a side note, I don't think its necessary for the first ANN to be on this forum, but it should be on a public crypto forum]
3) EITHER: (a) a countdown to launch, OR (b) first hour of mining is empty blocks so that people can join (no, devs admit this is a ninja launch)

So I think we came pretty close.

You read the first page of this release ??
You read the problem of the miners since the launch?
You read that while all mining with CPUs there were miners mining with GPU?
Then I ask you
Who were those miners?

you...do know that people can make miners right? Like people who know their way around can make them themselves. there was enough info in the ANN to make them.

editing a open source mining software for a new algo is not rocket science.

Rocket science: build rocket .....fly to the moon. But I sure hope this coin reaches the moon before my rocket does

upon closer investigation of the ticker issue I have decided to re-submit the original ticker. POLY.

The coin that uses POLY now, is doomed. Literally 0 in buy support, will be delisted shortly then we will once again be the only POLY.

Modifying ANN and changing my submission to one exchange that was submitted with PLYS ticker.

ATTENTION

POLY now listed for voting on tradesatoshi. Please vote if you can. A vote only costs you 1 DOGE, the more people we get to vote and up top the list the more chance we have on getting listed.

that would be wonderful, I don't find myself to be too dumb, but I got confused and started sending my POLY to the POLY ccex wallet, which now I know was retarded of me.  Using the gui wallet now and all is well!

keep up the good work

I don't think its the amount of votes that count, but the amount of DOGE. So 1 DOGE isn't going to do much.
Let's just say I payed 10 DOGE extra in your name.

So I think we came pretty close.

You read the first page of this release ??
You read the problem of the miners since the launch?
You read that while all mining with CPUs there were miners mining with GPU?
Then I ask you
Who were those miners?

This is the problem with your thinking: if someone develops a better tool for mining, why are they obligated to share it with you?

Hypothetically, lets say I code myself a new GPU miner that can get 10x the hashrate of the current ccminer.  And I then start mining by myself on a giant mining farm (I don't have one, this is hypothetical), and become 20% of the nethash.  Are you suddenly going to complain that the coin is unfair because someone like me (some random coder unrelated to dev team) is able to get 400 MH/s from each 1080Ti, whereas everyone else can only get 40 MH/s or whatever?

This is the exact same situation as some people having only a cpu miner, whereas clever coders created a GPU miner and mined for themselves.  No one is obligated to share their tools with you.

Now I will say - the DEVS should not be GPU mining while there is no public GPU miner released.  IF that is what was happening, then I will agree that is unfair.  But I have seen no evidence that devs were doing that.

You have no chance to know how I think.
This coin was launched with the scoop of mining only CPU
And who is asking for free miners? can show where I ask for free miners please

Awwww no benches for the algo?Huh

At least I now feel better not showing how to hack one of the miners during SIGT to get a large increase in hash. Everyone's going to complain, so why bother.  Roll Eyes

Angelo38 it could be worse bud, I started mining Boxycoin from start on CPU only hit one block, as after block 6 ASIC miners arrived by the shed load, this wouldn’t usually be a problem with a scrypt coin, but the Dev clearly stated and advertised it as cpu exclusive for the first 1000 blocks. not a good move.

They stated that they would only supply a CPU miner. they can't do anything about others making a GPU miner

Sorry Darkly I was not refering to this coin I was saying that I mined a coin recently that made a far worse claim, boxycoin stated the first 1000 blocks was cpu exclusive, poly coin never stated that, it just said you can start with cpu but people are whining over the arrival of gpu.
