Get them both. They are both good for long term and if you don't want to lose the opportunity for those two then it is best to just get them both and keep them for long term because ethereum has a great network and system while litecoin is a good back up for bitcoin since it is like a full carbon copy of bitcoin.
I agree because we don't want to miss out any of these like any coins ETH is a big coin and LTC also. I much wanted to have it both than to choose so in any case i will have it for long term that will give a good profit. yes exactly if you are profitable to choose them both then this may be a good way for it to be cause they are both good they are both have the potential in the near future the potential of ETH this is the very good thing to do for.

ETH development better than litecoin, you can see it since a few weeks. from 1 ETH = $297 current $476. how the importance of coins, and their ambitious mission that would be 10% of the bitcoin.

If I had to choose, I would choose ETH. After all, LTC price is not as good as ETH, and the application is not as good as ETH. Even the technology is not as good as ETH.

For sure, Both Litecoin and Ethereum are very good choices for any one wants to invest in altcoins in long-term. They are always attractive for investors and cause their price to rise in long-term.
But better to not ignore Bitcoin. Invest in Bitcoin too to not miss the opportunity. Bitcoin is still rising and will rise more and more.
Exactly, they are both good in terms of long term investment, but I still vote highly on ethereum rather than litecoin since it's still keep rising and I think it will remain at the end of the year and afterwards. Litecoin is good but I don't find it to much attractive on investors. And also, I am so much agree that you should never ignore bitcoin because it has the greater future on all cryptos.

I like ETH for long term because of it fast transaction, added to this it has potential and rapidly increasing it price. I wish it will reach the BTC someday.

The Ethereum without a doubt will be the leader. It is possible that within 5 years it will overtake bitcoin. Team Baterina will do in my opinion for this.

if we are going to base from its current movement I think Eth still have the advantage as many people still believing that Eth investment have a lots of development to offer, litecoin got some serious problem because there are already 2 btc new coin out from the fork so the idea of duplicating btc won't be useful anymore as investors will look forward for btc cash or btc gold. while Eth still moving forward having more ico coins to use their platform and keep pushing the value up for this said project.

Litecoin benefits from Bitcoin developments, for better or worse. Ethereum is doing its own thing. It's technically ahead of Bitcoin and Litecoin, but it suffers from not having the same strong brand name that's entering mainstream now. If Bitcoin puzzles normal people, then Ethereum is going to completely bewilder them. Litecoin is simpler to understand.

If you have conditions, you should invest both, because they are very attractive now. I'm keeping 2 ETH for myself! Hope prices will be better at the end of the year.

Brand new to the cryptocurrency market. Currently I hold a decent amount of LTC. It's value has gone up nicely since I purchased it. I've read all the predictions for LTC in 2018 and 2019. It sounds promising as a long term hold...which is what I'm more comfortable doing...to reach $200 -$300 a coin. I like the fact that there is a team in place trying hard to ensure it's future. Charlie Lee may not be the most charismatic spokesman publicly but he's out there doing it which gives me confidence in his product. Now, it's obvious that ETH is not going anywhere. My question for the board is which outperforms the other in the next 5 years? I tend to invest heavily in the direction that has the bigger upside. Perhaps I should split my investing 50/50 regarding ETH and LTC? What say the more experienced cryptocurrency gurus?
I have nothing against BTC. I don't see it going anywhere. It is the giant. However, I feel the current price point is too high for my liking.
Thanks
I am very optimistic about both Ethereum and Litecoin. The importance of these cryptocurrencies will grow and they will be traded for the high rates. Long-term investment into both LTC and ETH is the right thing. I have profit in ETH from 300 almost to 500!

If I would be asked Ill go for eth, since I start working in this crypto world, eth is one aside from btc that i see price stability in long run. LTC in the other hand is not a bad choice though.

They both are very good for the long term investment. But in my opinion ethereum is much more useful and the demand could be increased a lot as well as the price.

Like every investment, caution is necessary. If it is your first time buying crypto, our advice is for you to start in a somewhat small scale, and buy not just Bitcoin, but other leading Alt coins, thus spreading your investment and minimizing the risk.

If you can hold your LTC and start investing little by little in ETH. You'll have both on the long term (both will probably rise) and if one crash, you'll have the other to compensate the lost. If both rise you'll have double profit and it's difficult to see both crashing since their technologies and goals are different. Having a balanced portfolio is always a good idea.

long-term eth will be better in the future, because eth is currently showing a positive trend by showing a very good and stable price. ltc may be one of the great coin strengths but can not compete with eth.
