Ethereum I do not see in the future cryptocurrency called litecoin because I think that it is not needed by the market and is one of the useless altcoins.

They are both good coins to hold for the long term, but for the way that both of the projects are going now then there is no debate that ethereum is the best altcoin for you to put your money in if you ever want to make as much as possible in the long term. It is the project that is most likely to last the longest in the market.

Brand new to the cryptocurrency market. Currently I hold a decent amount of LTC. It's value has gone up nicely since I purchased it. I've read all the predictions for LTC in 2018 and 2019. It sounds promising as a long term hold...which is what I'm more comfortable doing...to reach $200 -$300 a coin. I like the fact that there is a team in place trying hard to ensure it's future. Charlie Lee may not be the most charismatic spokesman publicly but he's out there doing it which gives me confidence in his product. Now, it's obvious that ETH is not going anywhere. My question for the board is which outperforms the other in the next 5 years? I tend to invest heavily in the direction that has the bigger upside. Perhaps I should split my investing 50/50 regarding ETH and LTC? What say the more experienced cryptocurrency gurus?
I have nothing against BTC. I don't see it going anywhere. It is the giant. However, I feel the current price point is too high for my liking.

Eth is more potential to provide better profit and can survive in the long run. Eth is a solid project, which is used in industry and in the future will be much more popular. |

I think it's better to invest in ETH, because ethereum is used as a platform for generating new coins, although it is not wrong to invest in LTC.
I think two coins may still go up next year. So 60% ETH and 40% LTC are still very profitable.

I choose ether for a long term because its second to bitcoin and will consider as established coin when it comes to trading platfrom. Many coins, tokens and upcoming ICOs applied on this contract.

According to me it’s Ethereum, because it has huge potential to grow camparitively with Litecoin. ETH project and team members strong.

My choice also is Ethereum over Litecoin. For this there are two main reasons. One is ethereum is the market dominant coin after bitcoin other way, ethereum is the most reliable altcoin in the crypto market right now. Other reason is, most ICOs are requesting ethereum to purchase coins.

I will pick Ethereum on this one. But don't get me wrong. I am a believer of these two coins and I am holding both coins for over a long period already. Both coins are also used by some stores already but Ethereums is just bigger as a company with so many partnerships.

Clearly the second coin between ethereum and litecoin is just as good, but if for long-term investment is better ethereum, so I personally prefer ethereum to invest long-term |

I see no reason to invest in LTC. It is better to invest in ETH and in a few months to make a profit.

Good decision if dividing 50/50 for ETH and LTC. Maybe both coins are still very profitable to be a long-term investment.
But if you have to compare between ETH or LTC, I still expect big if the ETH will experience a bigger increase.

Very good ETH if you want long-term investment. Because Ethereum is one very good altcoin if it is a long-term investment. But if you want to invest in LTC is not wrong as well. But I suggest it is better to invest in ETH if for the long term.

I think Ethereum would be more beneficial than Litecoin in the long run. Ethereum got a better chance to go up.
I think so too. I trust ETH more than LTC. And most likely the price of ETH will grow faster. |

LTC is just a bitcoin clone basically. AT least eth is more unique and different from bitcoin. Go with eth since it has actual use case over ltc.
