Of course, Litecoin is better, because it is one of the first after bitcoin. Yes there is Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and others, but they are an order of magnitude inferior to the speed and low commission of Litecoin.
LTC is a poor version of bitcoin. So investing in LTC for the long term is a bad choice.
ETH with BTC is the best choice for short-term and long-term investment. There will be no cryptocurrency that can bring absolute trust like ETH and BTC. Also if I have more options I will not choose LTC because its price will not be able to increase like before

I would not be such a pessimist like you are but I also think that it is much better to invest in Bitcoin now. Ethereum is also good but you will have to wait for the returns long.
I think we are here because we are looking for an income that is why we should need always think positive specially if we put good amount of investment in altcoin, for me both coins are good to invest but you are correct we should need to wait for long period of time than investing in major coin which is bitcoin.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I would rather recommend buying or holding ethereum because it's clear. nowadays ethereum is included in a need. because the average person currently uses ethereum as a token delivery fee

I would go for both Cryptocurrency specially now that Ethereum is very cheap, splitting your investment into two is not only wise but safe. It gives you the leverage to have both market and playbot with your advantage. Both currencies are promising and can give greater profit.

I think both have good potential but I prefer Ethereum because most ICOs only accept ETH / BTC and that will make ethereum values grow faster than LTC

ethereum is more active in price development and the development of platform technology when compared to Litecoin (LTC) which seems to be in place.
therefore you should choose ethereum. many have already proven it.

In my opinion, you should choose LTC. This is a potential coin and is likely to make you profit in the future, in my opinion should not care much about the bad developments of the market, and they will soon. come back

BTC is always the most reliable. Only ETH can compete with him, but sooner. ETH in the crawl stage.
I really do not believe what is the most reliable, especially with cryptocurrency, things are always volatile and can crash rapidly, trust and hope only make my thoughts become stupid, and make mistakes that can not be repaired. And so, my answer is not to choose eth or ltc for the long term, bitcoin is the same because there is no guarantee and certainly profitable, reckless and wasted too much time is not allowed, if in the short term, I can rethink

I will put my money on both currencies, Ethereum and Litecoin was one of the hottest coins last year during the bullish run. Both coins gave great profit to investors and considered the top gainer for 2017. A lot of investors are banking towards both coins.

Talking about bitcoin, of course bitcoin is a good and reliable coin,
and indeed who can compete with bitcoin I think that is ethereum,
although ethereum is currently down but I am still confident with ethereum

I personally don't think litecoin is better than ethereum,
for me the two coins are as good for long-term investment,
so we don't need to doubt the two coins and the important thing is we just follow the development

Brand new to the cryptocurrency market.  Currently I hold a decent amount of LTC.  It's value has gone up nicely since I purchased it.  I've read all the predictions for LTC in 2018 and 2019.  It sounds promising as a long term hold...which is what I'm more comfortable doing...to reach $200 -$300 a coin.   I like the fact that there is a team in place trying hard to ensure it's future.  Charlie Lee may not be the most charismatic spokesman publicly but he's out there doing it which gives me confidence in his product.  Now, it's obvious that ETH is not going anywhere.  My question for the board is which outperforms the other in the next 5 years?  I tend to invest heavily in the direction that has the bigger upside.  Perhaps I should split my investing 50/50 regarding ETH and LTC?  What say the more experienced cryptocurrency gurus?

I have nothing against BTC.  I don't see it going anywhere.  It is the giant.  However, I feel the current price point is too high for my liking.

Thanks3

I would choose ethereum over ltc because despite of ltc's stability, I find ethereum more active than it. It is also on top of the market next to bitcoin. Ethereum has been through a lot and still continues to prove us about it's capability to reach better in crypto world.

The next year the price is not a fact that will grow very much, yet the market so far is a trend falling and it is not clear when it will change, but if we conclude on the road map, then the price certainly grow if everything goes according to plan.

Right between ethereum and litecoin for me ethereum is definitely better for long-term investment,
and if we invest in ethereum I think it's very promising,
so that we don't need to doubt ethereum

both investment vehicles are very good and robust investment tools for the long term because they are very long in the market.

At the moment I would prefer to buy an ethereum rather than a lightcoin, but given the current market, I would not now buy any of these coins as there is a possibility that the prices for them may become even lower...

From the last failing with Litepay I don't trust LTC and team. That's why I buy ETH only and use LTC for speculative goals only. I don't think about LTC seriously. All cases that I know linked with manipulations. For long-term I hold ETH only.
Yes, I also choose ETH because it is a more lucrative investment coin and the risk that you will lose your money much less.

If you choose between these coins, then I advise you to invest in ETH.  As for me, this is a more reliable investment coin.
