Holding Bitcoins can be also called "Long time investment" It's better to hold some bitcoins along the way if you can last long without even touching your money.
From buying and selling you can earn something but, for a short time and if you do get lucky you may earn alot. buy at low then sell at high or buy at low then hold till the next price range is passed. wait for bitcoin to get low then buy some. check the speculation board to get some ideas when to buy or sell.

it is impossible to say so unequivocally, it is better to trade, of course, but if you are a busy person you do not have much free time, then it is better to keep it simply. you need to share the risks.

With such sharp changes in the cost of bitcoin, and at the same time its unchanged growth in price, it is advantageous to keep bitcoin in the long term, and to trade it on the exchange using its high volatility. However, trading on exchanges requires certain theoretical knowledge and practical skills, otherwise it may end up with significant losses.

I am personally will buy at lower price and of course sell it after the price higher. Ok you can hold after you have enough bitcoin to invest. but if you late and the price too high like nowadays against your budget ,and also you only have small amount. It is better to wait the price lower and buy it. Good luck Smiley

As you are not a trading expert I would recommend you to just hold it if you believe in the system for the long run.

It is pretty hard to go out with profit from bitcoin trading and most of the people ends up losing more then they would if they were just holding the bitcoins( or making less money then they would make by just holding).

I think that if you are not basing your trading decisions on any knowledge or indicators, then you are pretty much a gambler, and you better hold your bitcoins before you miss up a huge gain.

There is no question that holding bitcoin is really profitable specially if you bought it at a very discounted price and then holding it for long term. But it should not discourage you to not buy when their is a dip to accumulate more bitcoin. So its a win-win strategy. Personally, I think that both methods meet the ends - to earn and to profit. So you can't be wrong whatever method you pick.

That's a good strategy, in the meantime, think of buying more bitcoin whenever possible.
Buy low and sell high strategy is not as simple as you think. What will you do when the value keeps trending in one direction so "what look like high prices one day may look like low prices another day".

Hold about 50% of your investment, or more if you are conservative, and the rest can use to make trade, without trade the market does not move.

It really depends on how much time you want to invest. Trading requires not only training, experience and a bit of luck, it also takes a lot more time than simply buying and holding.

The second one can be described as trading, and while it's much more profitable than just hodling, when executed perfectly, it comes with a risk of losing your money - i.e. you can sell and it will only go higher, or you can buy and it will crash shortly after. In general, it's better to just hodl, because to succeed in trading you have to spend all your time on it doing different researches - for most people it's better to just work their job and use their salary to buy more BTC, or simply put some portion of their saving one time and wait for long term gains.

I've always kept 50% in BTC and use my other 50% for trading.

Both are profitable. But it depends on you. If you have much patience then hold is better. When the price rate grow up then you sell it. Or if you have much free time then buy/sell is better. But you need to check price rate at every hour. When the bitcoin price lower, you buy and when the price higher, you sell.

you know what is main problem here ?
that yo don't know future how far it will go and how far it will fall same time.
And market can rekt you easly.
Imagine that you sold BTC at 1500$ you want get back at 1200$ but now price is 1800 and wont back... then you need wait to get another entry which is hard to find.
Then you need add all fees 0.4%... x10 4% x100 40%!!!!! year you fucked yourself at 40% becouse of active trading Cheesy

For me holding for a long period is more profitable but if the person don't have much capital trading is good enough. Holding needs large amount of capital because your money will be idle for a long period but it can assure a good return aftersome quite time. With trading you can earn good but you should be wise and make a lot of research in choosing your target market

Yes you're right.I prefer to hold BTC now rather than buy and sell it.IMO it really depends on how much you know in trading and how skillful you are.If you buy bitcoin with $3k below then sell it at the current price, then its a very big profit already. But since i'm not a good trader,i'll just keep and hold my bitcoin even just a year or two and then wait for my profit in the end.I'm sure it would still bring a huge profit too without doing any risky movements.

If you are skillful and lucky enough as well as being able to invest the time to accurately buy in the dips and sell at the peaks then definitely it will be more profitable than simply holding bitcoin. However it's a much more difficult strategy to execute. You yourself need to decide what's best for you in terms of your skillset and the level of risk and time investment you would like.

I'd say holding is much more profitable for a long term strategy but that shouldn't be the only thing you do, you should accumulate more, like buying on monthly basis or whenever you can.
If you are hodl something there is possibility the price will increase and you can sell your btc. if you have low bitcoin better to hodl instead of exchange it .  You only thing to sell your bitcoin if the price is low so the price became high.
