is this true that LUX will be forked to phi2 algo to make it FPGA resistant? as far as i understood FPGAs are not like asics and can easily switching algos by software changes.

Not quite sure how they will succeed in making it FPGA resistant as that is much harder than making it ASIC resistant. But as they have tpruvot on the team i do have hopes that they will succeed.

Will this new GPU algorithm only be used to mine Luxcore/LUXCoin ? If I want to use in other currencies, can the miner be used?

LUX-01 IS OPEN FOR RESERVATION! **Good day, colleagues!** We decided to make a serious move and start a LUX masternode! This is an expensive masternode and a serious investment. At the moment, the devsare finishingthe optimal MN rewarding system. We will do the gathering in twosteps. **Step 1. PoS** Every Wednesday we will transfer gathered coins to a separate wallet for PoS. While gathering continue, your share will be increasing because of PoS. Of course, you can also increase your share by additional transfers. If you want to leave, it will take us up to three days to find a replacement. Minimal seat is 10 coins; **Step 2. MN** As soon as we gather necessary 16120 coins, we will start the MN. Payouts are weekly, on Wednesday. Leaving takes up to a week, we will do it after payouts. Servicecommissionis 4% ofincome. - No Setup Fee - When POS Fee = 0% !!!!!!!! - When MN Enabled Fee = 4% - When POS Everyweek UPDATE - When MN Enabled Everyweek Payouts Reserved coins: 2671 Received coins: 2540.048 Available: 10908.952 OUR POS WALLET: https://explorer.luxcore.io/address/LSCB3sjRd2uErnueqT4HBJJySYxoRc9TXP Join our Discord server: https://discord.gg/5xmR5WR https://www.mnforall.com

Yes, only for mining Luxcoin. Is it possible to get a short summary of how you will make it FPGA resistant as the devlopers of FPGA says it is not possible?

I wouldn't believe all the stuff that say fpga or asic manufacturers about their own products tbh. Anyway I believe in our cryptographers headed by tpruvot and sure that they will handle with asics/fpga menace

Still excited he joined the team! Does he work full time on lux btw? (And could not care less about mcafee :p)

Check this article of one of our community members http://blockchurn.com/2018/01/14/luxcoin-config-file-tuning-with-amd-rx580-cards/Hope it help.

Yes, coins will start to stake automatically after 36 hrs of mature and no need to keep wallet open for successful staking, thats one of the web wallet features.

How many coins needed to have efficient staking procedure, lupanar? I mean stakers can stake at any amount of LUXcoin they have, but they actually need to have a minimum amount of coins to get staking rewards regularly because they have to fight against other stakers to find blocks. Depends what you calling an efficient staking, if you talking about get pos block once a day so you need to have at least 2000 coins in wallet, accordingly get a stake say per week you need to have already close to 300 coins, etc. So in the bottom you'll get a stake no matter how much coins you have, even 1 lux can staking, diifference in how much days it will take.

Isnt it hard getting enough miners to find blocks in decent time? The point of pool is getting a stable income, but i guess for the gamblers small pools can be fun as the reward can be much higher (or lower) than a bigger pool. In time it should even out off course though.

I just posted a video of why I think LUX is going to $90. I hope you guys find it informative! -Graslo video very promisingly describes the price of $ 90 - let's hope that this will happen in the near future and not in the unknown far future)))
