Why all the negative talk about bitcoin lately?

Really don't understand all the negatives flying around about BTC lately - we are on the cusp of mass adoption and that will change the space forever in a positive way.

- Bitcoin futures and soon Ether futures
- Bitcoin legislation to make <$600 transactions non-taxable in the US
- Increasing adoption globally even after China ban

You could add so many more positives to the above, so bitcoin won't be dying anytime soon !

I don't think bitcoin is going to die, at least, in the few coming years. On the contrary, bitcoin price is surprising us with daily increase and high capacity to recover quickly everytime it drops. Nobody expected it to reach +8k$ this year and nobody knows where it'll be the end of the year.

There are many traders that work with really big amounts of money. They know that with enough FUD the price doesn't rise too fast or even drops, allowing them to buy more and more since after Bitcoin Futures will get to be traded the price could (should!) skyrocket even more and they'll profit.
I guess that there are traders that earn enough even only from the small ups and downs Bitcoin makes every day. And for that some negative news always "help".

The mainstream banking industry has identified bitcoin as a big threat to their business considering 123 billion usd has already been filtered out of the banking channel for making bitcoin even more stronger. So they will definitely try to discourage people from using bitcoin. So whatever bad news you are hearing in the market, is mainly an organized FUD attack on us.

Also I have noticed another trend since last few weeks. Most of such discouraging news were posted by newbie accounts. 90% of such accounts never came back to online mode after posting one or two discouraging news.

But whatever happens, one thing we should all understand, that world's most populated county's ban could not effect bitcoin, so what some banks will do to us!!

It's because of the huge pump in recent months that leads everyone to believe it is a bubble waiting to burst.

Bitcoin is getting popular each day and with popularity it is open to more criticism, although not everyone really knows how blockchain technology works they are still entitled with their opinion. Just like Warren Buffet he thinks bitcoin is a bubble.

My personal concern and most likely for people who know how crypto works nowadays  the fees  is really expensive and transaction are slower.

True,this time we did not expect the price of bitcoin, since bitcoin is popular in some countries we could say that it is very beneficial to the user and now the expectation of people in the future is so high because of earn profit.

In my opinion, the one reason why bitcoin have negative images is because of being crypto-currency. This is because we can use the bitcoin in online transaction that cause of illegal doing by the people, and this will the reason why the bitcoin will crash if this will happen/use.

Actually these negative opinions are not new, they have persisted throughout the years from the beginning. But since now more than ever bitcoin is positioning itself as a real threat to the current dominant economic system, it is to be expected that governments and banks will come together to awaken distrust in society regarding bitcoin, which despite all these attacks continues forward without stopping on its way to global hegemony.

Don't listen to them and all their negative comments about Bitcoin. What they are doing are simply spreading FUDs, the exact meaning of FUD. Just look at what they have got so far? Bitcoin has risen to break its ATH every now and then. FUDs may make a little dent to the price of Bitcoin but it can hardly cause it all the time. Just focus on making your Bitcoin investment grow because the coming BTC value is even bigger.

Bitcoin is the future and those who talk negative about it are the real loser or a big buyer expecting bitcoin to dump. Bitcoin will never end i believe on this, cryptocurrency will help us do more in the coming years so expect that a lot of people will finally use this great technology.

Because there are always two sides of the coin. If there is positive news, there is negative news that's why it can't really be prevented that there would be some negative news because many people are still in doubt about the coin and its future. There are many bankers who are against it because it is a threat to their business while some are open to it so some of the negative news are from them. We know that there are bitcoin whales holding large amount of it and they are doing manipulations as well to have more and a negative news can make the price lower so some of the news are just their strategy to make it cheaper and those weak hands will just sold their coin especially those who just entered the crypto scene seeing the price volatility of it.

It's okay if they say it will be going to die, infact it will only lead for a higher price since there is no such thing as bad popularity since it will only gain attention then demand will increase.

Other investors was just trying to have a lower price for btc so they can buy afterwards.

Has there been any negative talk at all? I've found recent news to be quite positive, just like what you stated.

The only negative talk I've heard recently was about Bitcoin Cash, and that was hardly organic. It was an organized attack which capitalized on Segwit2x's cancellation that integrated social media FUD with mempool transaction spam. Things were looking bleak for like a day or two before things settled down and Bitcoin went bullish again. You can safely ignore what you hear about this (inflated transaction fees, very slow transactions, etc.) because these are direct consequences of the attack.

But yeah, in general, the mainstream media seems like it loves Bitcoin again.

You really don't need to stressed yourself about that negative talks about bitcoin because since the beginning, there are already lots. And by looking at the outputs, instead of more people will stay from this currency, mass adoption takes place and continously growing while bitcoin price is going to an uptrend.

Positive and negative views about bitcoin or for the whole cryptocurrencies will depend on how people will look into it. After all at the end of the day, we all know what we are heading for.

Those negativities are only trying to scare us. Bitcoin is really unpredictable but we dont need to worry about it. It is strong as it is right now.

It only goes to show that some people(maybe the ones that are in control of some big markets...) aren't happy about bitcoin and what has bitcoin achieved today. Maybe it affected them and are now resulting to indiscriminate attacks to Bitcoin as of lately. But we all know that bitcoin isn't gonna go down that easy because it has shown to be very resilient to such things, especially for the past weeks.

I dont think that the negative talk about bitcoin have just occurred lately. Since I heard about bitcoin back in 2009, there have been a lot of negative talks about it, and I was very unfortunate to have listened to that. But since I have known a lot about bitcoin when I joined this forum, I think that bitcoin has even become stronger today.
