I think that could be with the recent version upgrade to the Dash coin blockchain.

Dash transactions are now 215 times cheaper than Bitcoin. And the processing with increased security is much faster.

Also Dash are now already available on different asian exchanges. That all sounds good for investors.

Will Dash hit $1000 by January?

I think $650 - $750

Many people couldn't care less if something is a scam or not, as long as they can make money in the short term.  The only question is does anyone have confidence Dash will hit that figure before something fall apart...

Well I don't think so that dash would reach $1000 before January.Most probably it can hit around $600 or less and can fall as dash isn't popular and very few sites accept them i think but they do have very less transctions fees,fast transaction and it's security is good although reaching $1000 is very hard for them.

For me, its impossible dash would hit 1000$ by January, Maybe it is not very strong currency like btc who dominates crypto world. It would level up, but not much as 1K $.

Me too, I don't think DASH will hit $1000 by January next year because of bitcoin growing soon after listing at CME group.

No, it won't hit $1000.
Before making wild speculations or ask crazy questions just do some simple math.
Although crypto is volatile you can make educated predictions based off of marketcap, circulating supply, price of coin, history of the coin, etc.

With the new upgrades it will probably go up to 700 to 800 dollars or so.

But, like others have said, why bother with a shady coin?
Is it really all about money?
Can't you earn your money in a different coin besides one that is blatantly a scam?

Yes, you will get some money, but you are actually enabling the creators of the coin to make even more money and control the market, YOUR market and mine, even more.

Eventually, Dash will crash and burn, who knows how long it will go?
Bitconnect is another ponzi scam scheme, how long will all of these types of projects last?

No, not by January, but very possibly by Q3/Q4 2018, when Dash Evolution launches. I think two main things contributed to the recent price increase:

1) The whole BTC scaling debate - BTC is already slow and demands high fees, and is not expected to scale significantly any time soon. Segwit will alleviate some issues, but will not solve them. The forks that have happened and might still happen undermine confidence in the coin. BCH and Litecoin addresses some problems, but they are not different enough in a meaningful way, i.e., there is not enough of an advantage to justify using an alternative chain with unclear future. Dash has a distributed governance system that is able to reach consensus where bitcoin was not able to. In fact, a block size increase was approved and is being implemented right now, which brings us to the second point below:

2) Dash version 12.2 has just launched, bringing 2MB blocks (even though they are not yet needed for the volume of transactions),  reduced fees (10x smaller), and a step further on the Evolution roadmap, that will bring things such as named addresses on the blockchain and a light wallet with friendlier interface, which will increase usability and adoption. All these will be possible thanks to the incentivized masternode infrastructure already in place, that is already used to optionally confirm transactions in seconds (InstantSend) and to do trustless coin mixing (PrivateSend) directly on the blockchain.

Bingo.  And I would say, scam or not, the market is saying loud & clear that it's going to continue to rise.  I actually like Dash, though I'm aware of the stain of its birth--and that doesn't bother me in the least.  Having said that, I don't own any.  But like a lot of other coins, the network fees are much lower than bitcoin and confirmation times are much faster.  What's not to like (other than the instamine)?  Frankly I'd rather spend Dash than bitcoin.

As to the OP's question, I do think there's a potential for it to reach $1000 but I'm not so sure January is going to be the month.  Far stranger things have happened in this crazy land of crypto, tho.

I agree with this, only I am of the opinion the instamine does matter, but I can understand people who don't mind as well.

I don't think Dash will go up to 1000$ ever. It's even now overvalued. I don't know who really pay 500$ for 1 Dash? Most volume come from Korean exchange, so you better watch out this coin. They can make it %50 loss in a few hours.
It was 11$ 10 months ago, now 500$. Really unbelievable.

Dash like paper money that is easy to exchange. I like most from dash is a privacy feature like "private send", which obscures senders and recipients of funds. This is great and I think this feature is very interesting for the e commerce industry, making the dash for a truly revolutionary payment solution in the future.

I'll have to research the instamine scandal a bit more, I only hold Dash due to having an Antmier D3, so I guess for my own best interest I do indeed hope Dash will rise to $1000 and stay stable atleast $500 or more
