Oh yes! They are.

But just 1 out of 20 airdrops you will find which are worth something.
Take an example of $HYTV or $REBL or $BLUE or BitcoinRed.

The problem with people is that they collect airdrops and sell it for pennies, for sure all are not worth, but you never know how dedicated the developers and project is. Instead of selling airdrops for pennies, if you hold them till the day they are worth something gives you nice profit.

I think airdrop is good for promotion of project or awareness creation about a certain token, but for participants, you do not lose anything by joining since it is free.

It depends on the project you'll join. I know some altcoins before who offered airdrops that gave a decent profit but these days, you couldn't find any worth on most of the airdrop.
So, before you join any airdrop, you should make a background check/study the potential of that project.

Korek dude! Since airdrop is free no need tobe mad/sad if you dont received any coin in your wallet since this only for promoton of there project most airdrop introduced in the last month became scam. I dont see if airdrop is profitable its only depend on the project if its really legit or have a good Developer.

Now there are very few good airdrops. It is good to make money on this - it is rather an exception to the rules, rather than a permanent earnings.

Hi everyone. I've tried participating in a couple of airdrops but haven't gotten any coins yet. For those of you who have, how do you go about making anything out of airdrops? Is it worthwhile or just the usual pump and dump?
The thing with airdrop is that you just do it, submit form and hope you get it..some once you submit form you will receive your token cause once they meet a particular number the form will be lock while some is just a chance....So just fill be form and hope you get some..And also there the issues with ETH last few days

Most of the airdrops are not profitable and only there to gather information about you, the tokens that they send you in return are worthless and will always be like that. There's about 1 out of 100 airdrops that is legit and worth participating. But if you're going to participate in every single airdrop you'll find anyways then I suggest you to create a new email address with a password you never used before. Don't give them any information that could lead to your exchange accounts. Most of the airdrops just collect the data you insert in the registration form and try out every single crypto exchange hoping that you entered the same login and password. Be very careful with these sort of things. Stay safe!

At first I thought waiting for an airdrops from various altcoins and patiently waiting and waiting would just mean nothing or gain nothing but currently I just receive a coin and changed my way of seeing airdrop. Actually I gained a profit on it which now I could say that if you have a spare time, look for an airdrop and wait. It is like a new way of investment because some coins are highly profitable.

No. they are mostly scam nowaday. If you want to have a lot of crap coins in your wallet you can join. But most of them will be only time wasting. And you will earn so little comparing with the time you spend to follow and join them.

I can tell. Been to some airdrops. Some become profitable some are not. See bitcoin airdropped some years ago. It all depends on coin potential. You won't lose a dime in airdrops.

Airdrops are just a real good way to attract more and more people to use the token or coin and expand their community. As the people also get free token or coins and who would not like free things?
Airdrop is a great marketing strategy which is like a symbiotic relationship between the devs and the people. As the people get free coins, the dev get to expand their community and get support for their project.
So i think free airdrops are really great for everyone!  Grin
