I'm planning to buy some ETH, will it hit $1000 in 2018?

That's great news, hope in 2018 will be 1000. I now think about how much do have in my cash flow. Hope alll people will invest in eth, eth is great with dApp. Many ICos based on eth network, the fee to send eth is also low, that's why I like to send money via eth. it is much cheaper than bitcoin. for big amount of money I prefer bitcoin.

Tough to say for sure. I personally think there will be a slight price correction and then pump back up to around 500 or so and hover there around the end of the year. With Xmas coming up I think the markets will settle down a bit. But I’ve been wrong before and no one really knows.

Prediction in the crypto world is always a risky game. Who knows what will be the price of ETH in one year or two?
If I said in 2015 Bitcoin will be more than USD 8000 by the end of 2017, most of the people here would have think I'm crazy.

ETH can reach 1000 USD or even more if the price hike continues. But that's only speculations as its value is volatile which may go down anytime soon proving some speculations to be wrong. But for me, i also expect ethereum is about to set a new price high comes 2018.

Seems like my first reply didn't get posted for some reason. I think there will be a major correction in the price of ethereum within a year or so (as with most other crypto currencies). Meanwhile I think the price could (and probably) will reach 1 K by the end of 2018.

Already ethereum is having a very good move, even it rises in the forecoming days. Soon it will cross the 400 border, I am not sure it will reach $1000 by January but it keeps on increasing, those who hold eth will attain their target soon.

It depends upon the situation, if the supporters of ethereum continue to put investment in the said coin.
Surely the price of it will rise up soon.
And it may reach $1,000. Actually as of now the price of bitcoin are falling down.
We dont know if there is an altcoin booming in the market.

At current conditions, i'm doubt about $1000 in Jan 2018, but it will positive trend next year. Stable in +- 300 or maybe can rise 400 is better assumption.

You cannot make such forecast short time. Nobody knows. If you like a project - and for sure Ethereum is one of the best ones around - you can be confident that SOMETIMES it will eventually moon.

I think it's far off because of the high, low price of the ethereum and it's been a while before it's increasing because many investors here have not risen yet but at bitcoin you're just gonna invest and you just keep it bigger than you ethereum no longer increases.

Ethereum is a very good coin for the ICO projects and trading. It will definitely cross $1000, but not in Jan 2018. May be in a few months time.

I'm in ethereum since 2016. Since that time it made me 34x gains. So when smb says that bitcoin has room to growth, I say - ethereum has room to growth, man.

I believe it could make $500 by the end of 2017. And 2018 would be even better for Ethereum.

No I think that's way too soon.  What would be the reason for it to go that high?  I know this is crypto and anything can happen at anytime, but usually there is some kind of reason for a big pump to occur.

I think it can be happen in 2018 but maybe this will be happen in the middle of the year of 2018 ,for now the price was 400 USD only so it takes many time to become a 1000 USD.

I see ETH over $1000 for sure. But the concern is in a very long term (i mean 5 years) people will lose faith in ICOs and sh*t tokens, since a lot of them are scams these days and ETH will lose its value. The price is only increasing very fast this year because of all these ICO hypes. Hoping one day the dust will settle and we will know the most useful & valuable coins. ETH is very good for day trading but for long term HOLDINGS there are better coins (projects) out there.

Back to OP, definitely ETH $1000 in 2Q 2018 in my opinion.
