Ethereum's value right now is kind of low because of how clogged the blockchains were, but if this problem is sorted out next year then ethereum's value might become good again, but I don't think it will reach your 1000 usd mark.

I hope it will happen but with its current situation right now, the probability is low. Though the popularity of ethereum is increasing fast, the change in its price is very little.
I am not sure what will happen to ethereum maybe 1k some day but not now, let's see what will happen when they implement pos first. |

That's only 2x from current price so I can't see it taking long. Jan however is a little soon, I think it will happen before summer next year though. The crypto market is booming and no one want to sell.

I dont think ethereum will reach 1000 at the first month of 2018, it is having having a major problem here, the transactions recently is being delayed for many days, the consequence of cryptokitties recently have made eth slow down rapidly, if eth developers can not fix this problem, eth will hardly reach 1000$ in the future.

I think it will begin to rise eventually, but $1K in Jan 2018 might be a stretch. It has already started to pick back up and is approaching the $500 level once again. It might take longer than January, but I think the price will eventually get there.
The etherium has a great potential. It is provided with real assets. You just look at its growth from April 2017 and you will understand everything yourself. So i think if there is no big problems, $1500 very possible If the investors make a small shift to ethereum, the capital flow starts to move through it and then we can easily see $1,500 or above for ethereum in 2018 or 2019. It's not gonna happen soon, I guess. |

There is large possibility that Ethreum could raise up to $1,000 for the year of 2018 but there is still no assurance and no one still know when will that event or moment could exactly happen but as we can see and observe, it is making its way now to $500 which can basically imply that it is undergoing improvement and it is really possible to raise up to $1,000 next year. |

We dont know what will really happen about the future in Eth. It really depends upon the situation of the status of Altcoin. But as of now Eth has a great status nowadys. Still we cannot assure if Eth will getting $1000 in 2018. Well maybe but there's always a risk.

Sorry to say but it is a no. Because for me, based on how slow the price of ethereum moves up, $1000 is still out of reach. The recent price of ethereum is $500, half of what you are dreaming of. You need some kind of miracle if you are in such a hurry.
