Yeah. Even at it's peak around december CGB wasn't at it's full potential imho. I don't know what the hell is keeping it back from rising again.

Could be that there are plenty of other crypto-currencies to invest in now, as well as DOGE taking a lot of interest of lately.
There have been several PoS coins released with higher stake than CGB, attracting many newcomers. CGB has a lot of good things going now, but perhaps there needs to be more buzz around CGB. DOGE had their bobsled and NASCAR sponsorships, perhaps something like that would get the attention from the general public and potential investors. Regardless of what one thinks of the other currencies, it is the spectacular stories that draw attention from media and non crypto-currency holders. Granted, the CGB community is much smaller the that of BTC, LTC, DOGE etc, so it's not likely we could rally up $50K for another sponsorship in NASCAR. We'll just have to be smarter and think about how to draw more attention to CGB, and show it's strengths and benefits as a long term investment.

Was thinking in similar direction. How about a contest for the best idea for a marketingstunt. Ofcourse it must be realistic and doable and not cost too much.
Anyone wanna tattoo a CGBcoin on his behind and run naked in the cnn studio?

This is awesome guys, keep the ideas flowing! We were thinking to get on cryptosandwich for some attention from the altcoin fanatics. I like the idea of getting out to the "real world" and perhaps posting flyers or CGB logo and information, taking pictures and posting, etc. One person can get a lot of exposure in their end of town. With QR codes it's so easy to get people to our site if they are at all curious.

Our strategy of logical, rational, education is already paying off big time with our recent exchange listings and community respect. All it takes are the right people to stumble across the site and realize what they are seeing. With that said, we do need the community to spread out and think of as many different places they can get CGB exposure to. I know how to explain CGB and how to position it to fulfil its potential but we still need all of you to do what you do and come up with this crazy stuff. BTCat is volunteered for the CNN stunt Wink Also you are right about the Get CGB section and exchanges, I will provide the exchange list there as it makes most sense and perhaps keep a copy in the resources section.

I think Bitcoin is in a slump and we are all kind of waiting for that next wind to fill our sails. It will be very soon I think! Keep up the good work all!

Gocoin is a Cryptocurrency Payment Processor. It accepts BTC, LTC and now also DOGE. Perhaps the ´right person´can research or connect with them to talk about CGB implementation.

Community Powered Promotion - Rally Point at /r/GotCrypto

Please also see the reddit post for further discussion.

The Open Source Community Development and Marketing Strategy (link) which has served to help organize our efforts has now been **completely replaced** by the Official CGB Website, especially the Marketing section. The original purpose of the /r/GotCrypto subReddit has been restored as the Rally Point for Cryptogenic Bullion's Community Powered Promotion campaign. Links and content are posted here which may be of interest to active CGB community members who wish to help promote CGB in various ways across multiple sites or venues.

Much more work has to be done, but the Marketing, Community, and CGB Resources pages have been completely updated. Suggestions and corrections always welcome.  The following have been added to the Reddit sidebar:

Why another exchange?
We are not your usual hobby programmer hiring some people to make a "secure" exchange. We are a company of trained professionals, based in Austria.
We guarantee a level of security a single individual would not be able to.
But yet, there are various reasons why we focused our resources on this crypto exchange:

  • Security!*
  • The design is simple, not dark and also not too colorful. It was made to provide a neutral environment for maximum usability.
  • Multiple order options including (but not limited to): Fill-or-Kill, Immediate-or-Cancel and Iceberg - multiple order types can be applied!
  • Market and Limit orders (as you may know from Forex)
  • A variety of Charts to reduce the time required for monitoring and watching to a bare minimum.
  • Charts scale with the browser window-size for maximum screen-efficiency and maintaing a balanced layout.
  • No personal data is being logged, because to us your privacy is as important as your security.
  • The project is based on highly scalable software and frameworks, to ensure the qualtiy of service even with increasing user counts.
  • We'll provide the world's first crypto currency index!
  • High volume traders benefit from our VIP Account program

* The main focus of this service is the provided security. A lot of effort went into planing and testing the application, to guarantee the much-needed security. All communications between you and the servers are encrypted.
A unique but yet fast withdrawal process secures your assets way more efficient than email confirmations, making this technique obsolete.

What about the name?
Swaphole is a one-of-a-kind service, we simply do not want to be your next best exchange, and the name simply reflects that fact.

Still unsure?

You can contact us here:
support@swaphole.com

Hi All,

I've noticed coinmarketcap.com only looks at Cryptsy.. Wouldn't it be better for CGB when they start looking at other exchanges as well?
It does look more solid, certainly for new investors when there is a large list of exchanges where CGB is accepted don't you think?
