lock 6 away in cold storage for 5+ years.
Take the other 6 and keep trading like you are, nobody can really tell you what to do, depends on your risk profile.

I think you have to remove number 4 on the list and stick with 1,2, and 3. But the number 3 is risky but it is not a bad idea if you really know how to handle it. And lastly, holding the bitcoins is the best option you can do here but if you think you can have more profit with the alt coins you want to invest on just go with it.

I think you should continued doing the same thing that made you realise that amount of bitcoins. Maybe you can add some other good coins to your portfolio. NEO, EOS AND STEEM would also be a good addition to your portfolio .

Edit: My current portfolio: VeChain 80% Ethereum 10% Bitcoin 10% I have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least. My question is, what do I do now? As far as I can see, I have 4 options;1) Hold the Bitcoin
2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin
3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.
4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary: Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit. Of course, it's better to keep bitkoyn. you can always sell it, it can grow well, and you can earn good money! people who sold bitkoyn in a hurry, at the moment biting elbows! Do not repeat the mistakes of others!

You should put 50% of your bitcoin in altcoins, invest it to coins that is going to be big in the next few years like XEM,STRATIS,SC,DGB,NEO and many more. Do your research you will not regret if you will diversify your bitcoin.

Buy strong altcoins with the 1/3 - XLM, NEO, ICX, STRAT and the other 1/3 spend on Moonshots (after very precise research) and couple of ICOs, the last 1/3 leave in BTC and HODL as long as you can.

You got some decent amount of money to invest then. Bitcoin is having hard times recently but we all know this is a temporary situation for the king of the crypto currencies. After bitcoin climbs back to 20k you can make some new investments. There are some serious ICO projects will go live in the April so it would be a smart move to invest some of your money in them.

Yes, it is reasonable to divide your funds into several parts and invest in altcoins and ICO, I would not recommend investing in mining. Now in the sphere of crypto currencies there is a tendency to refuse from mining.

It's easy to answer because I do not have that much BTC. the crypto will be a bit confused when you enter the money world. now it's 12 btc. I took the subcoin for the half. I waited for the other half.

If I have 12 bitcoin I will use it for the operation of my mom and my grandmother. My mom has a cyst on the part of her kidney and my grandmother suffers to her cataract that's why I want to reserve it to their operation. If there's an excess, I will use it for the education of my younger brothers and for building our own house.

12 bitcoins is very huge amount. I think you should be careful in all details you made since that money is targeted by the hackers and scammers. You should be wise in all decision that you will make to avoid all conflicts and threats.

I think that much money you can invest in altcoins. You have a great chance to make a profit, you can keep the market price of altcoins with the money you have. So you can get a bigger profit.
