I personally highly suggest starting with BTC. BTC is the mother of all other crypto. No matter how good ETH is, at the moment it's still classified as an alt coin.

- knows trading basics

- at least can make a good decision

- you know what you are really doing

... then you can start whether you bought both Bitcoin and Ethereum. Analyzation will came from your view about the trend. Final verdict will be placed on your own decision so if you think you can do it, then build and start your trading experience now.

Etherium and bitcoin are my favorit. Etherium has smaller price now compare with bitcoin.
If you have enough to buy both then just tradimg with those 2 coins because they are profitable.

If you are a starter i advise to start with eth for many reasons:
- Most of new tokens are built on eth blockchain.
- Most of ICO's requires eth to invest in.
- Eth price is much lower than bitcoin and i expect it significantly rise soon.

I think this forum is not all about bitcoin because i saw some section woth altcoin and also politic and off topic.
Actually i would suggest etherium for the choice.
Etherium also has big potential grow like bitcoin and its also in low price.
Recently etherium price start growing ferom $292 to $500 and its good though.
But as people said, you have to understand what trading is before continue, or otherwise you can loss your capital.

Both of them are good cryptocurrency but to choose which one is better that depend on the amount of capital you have. Ethereum has lower price than Bitcoin but it has better potential than Bitcoin so if you want to start with small amount of capital you should choose ETH. Why I said that ETH has better potentail than Bitcoin, you just need to take a look at the price of ETH and BTC. From the early of this year until now, Bitcoin price has increased more than 1000% but with ETH price it's 4 times better ). ETH price has increased more than 4000% in this year and IMO it'll keep increasing like that in the future.

As a beginner try the safest way and lower risk, trade with bitcoin as your first move.
And when you already know the basics and some knowledge then try eth and other alts. Little by little your knowledge and experience expand and you can avoid doing again your mistakes and you can have more profit than losing money.

Hurry up go with bitcoin dude. We are seeing bitcoin price little cheaper when compare with few days. You will find the bump again so your profit can make with the bitcoin will more than you can make with the ethereum. If you buy the same amount compare in fiat with the ethereum you will not get the money you can make like in bitcoin that is for sure. If you have bitcoin or ethereum in your trading wallet you will be able to convert it anytime that is another information.

start with what ? it's all depend on your strategy and of course your mood.
right now Bitcoin showing a healthy movement and i believe for couple months later we should make a movement,
because this month we will be listed(or already listed but still waiting for the date) in CME group's futures at Dec 18,
afterward Bitcoin will be listed too in some place later on(still under progress and rumour) in Q1 2018 next year.
which mean for couple months we should see a good movement for Bitcoin,
but at the same time right now ETH is showing us a good place to buy it,
right now the price already dumped to around 0,04Bitcoin for each from before,a bit risky but the profit that it can generate for traders who is buying it is quite good in my opinion.
as a beginner i do not recommend Ethereum because it's very risky at this moment and we do not know what will happen with Ethereum when this pump is going on(Bitcoin pump).

Both of them are good, Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency for now and ETH is standing right after Bitcoin on the coinmarketcap.com. To decide to start with Bitcoin or ETH depend on some factors like your capital, your strategy, short term or long term investment,...If you just have small capital and want to invest for long tearm I think ETH is the best option for you cause the potential of ETH in the future is better than Bitcoin and the price of ETH at the moment is not too high like Bitcoin so you can easily buy a large amount of ETH if you want. Take a look back from the early of this year and now you can see ETH price increase more than 4000 percent mean while Bitcoin price has increased only more than 1000% so what will happen if this case keep happening the same in the future?
