If we buy stuff with BTCand the company just sells it for cash right away, it's probably not good for the BTCprice.

What do you think?  Will shopping with BTC be good or bad for BTC?

Though is said to hit the mainstream soon but buying of stuff with bitcoin while the company sells it for cash is definitely not good for bitcoin price because it will literally cause some dump in price of bitcoin.

Best choice right now. You can buy almost anything with bitcoin nowa days so It's really cool. Also , platforms like steam accept bitcoin for more than an year , I mean it's a biliionare company who made the smartest choice back in 2015.

He just asked about if the companies are damaging bitcoin by acquiring and instantly selling those bitcoins after selling stuff, not if it is a good decision to shop with bitcoin.

Best choice right now. You can buy almost anything with bitcoin nowa days so It's really cool.

This kind of newbies are a garbage, they really need to pay more attention to the thread if they want to farm their accounts by that way.

And no, it is not doing anything to bitcoin, because any other person would be able to buy the bitcoins that the shop is dumping at the moment, so no, it is a round cycle.

Sellers should be very happy to accept bitcoins for good, as the value of bitcoins is keeping up and up. Hence, I would expect a bigger return for the sold item paid in bitcoin. It is also good for the buyer as bitcoin has higher purchasing power.

It's bad i mean the price of btc is unstable . you could buy something that is worth 10$ today ,tomorrow the price raises and it will be as if you bought it with 13$ . Not to mention the high fees that are on it . So no i don't think it's such a great idea to shop directly with btc.

It's a win win situation and will never be bad if the merchants sell them straight away and it's because its in demand that is why the sellers can easily get a competitive market to sell their bitcoins to. I don't even think these guys are going to sell them straight away because they will want to hold and also earn more as has  been the trend with bitcoin lately.

No one will shop en masse with Bitcoin if they can help it. Why would you if you had depreciating money to hand instead?

The old 'merchants will dump' meme was dicsussed ad nauseam when merchant adoption happened in 2014. In the end it turned out that most of Bitpay's coins were disappearing straight into the pockets of OTC buyers so the effect on the market is at most neutral and more likely reducing supply.

A payment processor is a very dependable source for an OTC buyer.

Currently, my country is banned from using Bitcoin to buy anything. However, you can still deal with other people to transfer it to cash and use it. That is legal

Why will shopping with bitcoin be bad? If bitcoin will be accepted as a payment method more people will buy bitcoin to use it to buy things so the price will go up. The shops will sell bitcoin but they are not going to sell it for the normal bitocin price in order to not be in minus with the profit.

Shopping with bitocin will surely help the price to go up but I dont think that is going to happen very soon because bitcoin fees are very high and it takes a pretty much time for the transactions to be confirmed, so it is hard for shops to add bitcoin as a payment method because they dont have any more advantages.

BTC just should be omnipresent to get raised even more than currently 11k per one coin. It's clear as a day.

Adoption and real world use are 2 things that bring value to the coin, so shopping with Bitcoin will only do good for the future of cryptos. The 10k Bitcoin for 2 pizzas guy is often mentioned as someone who made a very bad decision, but would we be here if that transaction never took place? Good food for thought...

Definitely it's bad and impractical to use Bitcoin for shopping these days. The fee is killing us. $10-$13 still huge for the fee. Also still Bitcoin is not widely accepted on many stores worldwide. Like in my country (Philippines), it's very rare to see any store that directly accepts Bitcoin as a mode of payment for their goods you buy to them. The only thing you can do is convert Bitcoin to fiat. I think it's more convenient since cash is widely accepted and most of all, no fees to pay. Anyway, i will not use my Bitcoin unless it's very important. Bitcoin price is skyrocketing right now.

I have also thought about this because I buy most of my items through a payment processor the same as bitpay but just another company but it works exactly the same. The seller adds bitpay and chooses he they want to be paid. It is mostly bank transfers so I pay bitpay btc and they pay the seller with a bank transfer and take a small cut. In this way the seller attracts the attention of a customer like myself and seals the deal. This gives the seller more exposure because I would not buy as much from this shops if they didn't accept Bitcoin. I think k if they sell it for fiat it most likely won't effect the price because it's just giving my Bitcoin back so if I buy 1btc and spend it and they sell it back again we sit again at 0btc so unchanged. But things don't always work out perfectly so it might make the price go up through stimulation of the transfers.

Bitcoin shopping is becoming increasingly more difficult as time goes on due to the problem with fees we are currently experiencing. Unfortunately, fees are so high right now and not only that, they are a lrge percentage of small purchases. And then the onfirmations take so long there is a double-spend problem on top of that that companies need to be woried about.
