Sounds like this fork has a purpose at least. I love the idea of atomic swaps, this is truly the way we should exchange our coins. I hate centralized exchanges and also the decentralized solutions that are availible for now are not really satisfying, so I really believe that atomic swaps will be the future of exchanging crypto. I will stay tuned and monitor this project. Lets see if we have a fork here that will achieve something new.
We feel you bribed, I'm sure each of us has already experienced those delays, missing coins, unresponsive support and many other issues related to centralized exchanges. This will not be happening with Atomic Swaps. BITCOIN ATOM is here to make sure of that  |

project is quite good and interesting. For 1: 1 fork for Bitcoin is the same as Bitcoincash. one question from me? what is the predicted price for BitcoinAtom when it releases in exchange?

And why did you implement a two-week difficulty adjustment?
We already had a similar question, and our thinking on it is the following: Atomic Swaps are the way forward for exchanging - this is called innovation for decentralization.
Bitcoin holders will receive one Bitcoin Atom for each Bitcoin they hold.
Merry X-mas  if you want to decentralize, get rid of sha256 and move to a gpu only algo. There already exist forks which attempt to decentralize the system by moving to a GPU-only algo. BCA, however, takes a different approach (in terms of block generation & consensus model) and uses a hybrid PoW/PoS, providing processing power decentralization. Regarding 2-week difficulty adjustment: nothing surprising actually, as retargeting on every block would result in ridiculous oscillation in the difficulty level when there's a hot streak and several blocks are found in short succession or a cold streak where a block isn't found for a long period - as per Compro01 (bitcoin.stackexchange) and common sense. No premine is possible for a Bitcoin fork (due to its nature). Thus, there will be no premine for BCA. |
