By "stupid" I meant the team, not the people

Indeed, there are some forks, then why not trying to make some money? Even if the project is an obvious scam

This works to a certain extent, I made the tool (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2827163.new) so people can manage things by themselves and stop being robbed, and I will add Atom, surprisingly many forks released their hidden code at the same time (collusion between forks, same people?), now I would easily revert "stupid" to people if they use the projects' wallets

My guide is simplified, of course I am not going to give all the details how to create your fork, as you can see it's a parody but really close to what is happening

You can read this also: The madness of bitcoin forks: risk, reward and ruin https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/madness-bitcoin-forks-risk-reward-ruin-aymeric-vitte/

There are other dangerous side effects than being robbed and that nobody seems to know or just ignore (like replay protection collisions, intentional or not, that's not a myth, it's already happening)

To answer your questions, I am not a victim of forks, not participating in any fork, not part of any fork team, but I saw too many people fooled, many contact me directly too for the tool, and unfortunately even those that seem to know what they are doing don't really in fact

The tool project was started ~2 years ago, then abandonned, I finished it after the complete chaos/mess of BTG launch

Why am I here and other fork threads even not really promoting my tool finally since criticizing the projects it is supposed to be used with?

Just to warn people, and if they want to play with the forks then they should transfer their coins first, use something like my tool and be very careful

And why not, to make some money too, even if I have some little hope with those sxtty coins, many have not even a working explorer, can't even know what coins I have

I advise you to read through our Q&A article, obviously you need that otherwise you wouldn't be spreading this nonsense.

Funny stuff...

Would you mind releasing the very basic things before submitting some kind of papers/technical guides?

Like a working explorer, cleaning a bit your code, disclosing who is the team, etc

Btw, I have included Atom in the tool, took 5mn, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2827163.msg30202535#msg30202535

Lets face it, the fork is a copy paste joke which explains why the code was late.

The code is 1 day of work for a single person. You geht $8 per Bitcoin for B2X fork will Atom set a new record?  Grin

It just pains me to see crypto butcherd by the greed of people and unprofessionalism. Since it is a fork I own some.
I will sell to the highest bidder as soon as we can deposit somewhere. I do not expect to swap this anytime soon.

I do not troll this is my honest opinion without any hype and not based on hope to bet on the right horse.

Copy paste? It seems that instead of studying the code and our Q&A where you could see that Atomic Swaps are already available thanks to BCA, you just decided to spread fud on btt. Bitcoin Atom offers also hybrid consensus amongst other crucial changes to Bitcoin algorithm. We encourage all the users to study our official resources and source code rather than trusting similar trolling attempts on social media. We really appreciate the community support we're getting and that's only the beginning Wink

Good job indeed! @ATOM SUPPORT—any plans on listing to other exchanges? Feels like not many folks have heard of Atomic swaps and this project itself...would be nice to raise awareness in the market!

Thank you for your support! Yes we're discussing with new exchanges, while also confirmed partners are already working to implement bca trading. You can expect good news soon Smiley

To the BCA team: I said some pretty harsh things early in this thread, and at the time, I think they were valid. That being said, it appears you actually are delivering on an ambitious project. Kudos Cheesy

I'd like to offer some advice going forward. It's worth at least what you're paying for it Cheesy

One. Be a hell of a lot more transparent. If there are problems, there are some truly brilliant people in this community who actually want things like this to succeed. Github's forking and pull functions are there for a reason. You'll get help. Probably more than you want or need, but that's not a bad place to be in.

Two. DO NOT announce things until you're ready to go with them, at least at a testing level. This always, and I do mean ALWAYS bites developers on the ass. It's better to ask for people to wait and provide regular updates than to overpromise and underdeliver. Speak surely of what you're sure of, and make note of what is planned or opinion, but do NOT announce it on a specific timeline unless you are certain you can deliver it. As in it's already in the box in at least working beta condition.

Last, but far from least, develop a robust testnet and let us play. If there are vulnerabilities in your system, this community will find them. If there are improvements to be made, this community will find them, implement them, and promote them without you lifting a finger.

Your launch was handled very badly. I've seen worse, been around a long time, but I've also seen a lot better. You would frankly have been better off to announce that TESTNET forked at a particular block, then announced the full fork LATER. This gives you, and us, the opportunity to test and break things, and gain trust in both your abilities and your word.

If you are able to deliver on what you've outlined in your roadmap (and I confess I have not had time to catch up with your latest documentation), then this is a long term highly viable project that has the potential to be a major contender. But you won't get there in secret. Not in this environment. And I think I can speak for the majority of people in this thread: We want you to succeed. We can be a rough bunch, and very impatient, but that's because a lot of us have seen this all before. We wouldn't still be here if we weren't interested, even obsessed.

The best of luck to you, and I mean that as sincerely as the criticism. I hope all goes well from here on out. A rough start is not the end of the world, though it can feel like it Cheesy

I finished reading last medium questions and answers based article shared on previous page. There are quite useful and interesting information to read specially atomic swap among ERC20 tokens which is in pipeline. These guys behind the BCA are not giving up so need to see how these things will be implemented in future which has been discussed on article.
