there are lots of chains. So what's the advantage of DERO, compare to XMR and others?

Last two months ago, i made a choice to  mine ITNS. Although its aglo is also cryptonight, but it will help to establish a strong   VPN and this will be more useful .

Monero + Smart Contracts(like Etherium) = DERO

If they can pull it off this is going to be big! I was mining ITNS and SUMO before this, now I stopped and I'm all in DERO.

I mined SUMO too when it was just launched for a week, but it's sad that I lack quality hardware.

Even with crappy hardware, if you mine early you can still make some decent money. An I5 laptop can mine ~60H/s, that's ~4 DERO a day currently. If you think SUMO is worth $7 now, that's $7x4 = $28 potential value a day on a laptop(if you mined SUMO at the same stage DERO is now). Even it if goes to $1, that's $4 a day on a laptop....hard to beat that. I mine with future potential in mind. A lot of people go to Whattomine and just mine the most profitable at the time, I find that odd since at the point the difficulty will skyrocket with all these new miners trying to get in. I rather mine unknown coins that have potential(like DERO) while no one is paying attention. Good time to get in even with crappy Hardware.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Would refrain from commenting on other coins, though you came just to shill it.

Anyways difference between DERO and XMR are listed below:
1]  SMART CONTRACTS on cryptonote protocol
2] Complete rewrite of cryptonote core in golang.
Users choice to code smart contracts in go or javascript.

Numerous design enhancements which will be unique to the coin.
We can add/think/design any new feature b'cos  we are developers not forkers.
DERO would be new chain.

Just think why would we rewrite so complex and big code when its just simple to fork and hire any marketing manager.
On 19 JAN check first git push of our golang code and doubt our efforts.

You are welcome. Even low hardware will get you something. We have almost 60-70 miners and NW fluctuates most of the time ~300-500 KH/s .
We blocked all high end diff ports b'cos we are happy with our simple and cool miners with low end hardware. We have all type of miners from 50 Hz/s to several Kh/s.

Just for shits-n-giggles I configured Claymore's CPU miner (3.9) on another computer that is currently mining Trezarcoin to run on the dero.tech pool and it is claiming to crank out ~200H/s with an AMD FX-8300 CPU. The mining of TZC hasn't slowed at all so this is basically a 14-16 DERO per day bonus. Don't let those CPUs on your mining rigs go to waste!

I'll be trying out the other CPU miners later on to do a comparison.

pls download from below links , choose your OS.
https://github.com/deroproject/dero2/files/1534492/dero-windows64-bin.zip
https://github.com/deroproject/dero2/files/1534521/dero-linux-amd64.tar.gz

Extract and change into that directory by cmd-prompt.
Run derod.exe or derod depending on operating system. It will start syncing.
Open another command-prompt and run dero-wallet-cli.exe/dero-wallet-cli  and create wallet.
Make sure to backup your wallet-file/password/seed.

Does either/both pools support multiple users using the typical configuration of <address>.<worker name>? Right now I have a CPU miner going to dero.tech and a combination GPU/CPU miner (xmr-stak) going to pool.dero.live, which is a bit of a kludge but I know for sure it will work.

Problems is not the confirmation time, the problem is that the deposits neither appear as pending or anything else, it is worse than only the confirmation time. It's like there was no deposit.

To be part of DERO NETWORK and start mining  DERO:
Pls download daemon & wallet from below links , choose your OS.
https://github.com/deroproject/dero2/files/1534492/dero-windows64-bin.zip
https://github.com/deroproject/dero2/files/1534521/dero-linux-amd64.tar.gz

Extract and change into that directory by cmd-prompt.
Run derod.exe or derod depending on operating system. It will start syncing.
Open another command-prompt and run dero-wallet-cli.exe/dero-wallet-cli  and follow options to create wallet.
Make sure to backup your wallet-file/password/seed/key etc..
Also see below to start daemon with priority seeds to sync faster.

Incase DERO blockchain data not syncing.
Restart derod daemon and use status command to check status of daemon. If still not syncing delete chaindata and restart daemon.
Else for faster sync, download chain data from following link :
http://seeds2.dero.io/data.mdb     Replace data.mdb in  .dero/lmdb/ folder Or corresponding folder in windows user.
Windows users can look for dero-chain-data folder in their user folder or  C:\ProgramData\dero\lmdb

Also old miners start your daemon with  following option to add priority seeds to get sync faster with low latency network, If  having any issues:
Windows:
Code:
derod.exe --add-priority-node 89.38.96.169:18090  --add-priority-node 76.74.170.128:18090 --add-priority-node 212.8.242.60:18090  --add-priority-node 85.217.170.245:18090
Linux:
Code:
./derod   --add-priority-node 89.38.96.169:18090  --add-priority-node 76.74.170.128:18090 --add-priority-node 212.8.242.60:18090 --add-priority-node 85.217.170.245:18090

I just switched over to AMD XMR Miner 0.65b (available from here: https://www.amdxmrminer.com/) so that I could mine another Cryptonote coin with my Ryzen 5 1600 while still mining DERO with my GPU. It's delivering around 723 H/s and Claymore CPU XMR Miner 3.9, with devfee disabled, is delivering around 380 H/s for the other coin (eDollar - EDC). That's the same total hashrate as I was getting with xmr-stak, just with more flexibility.
