Monero + Smart Contracts(like Etherium) + Lightning fast transactions(like Litecoin)= DERO

New coin must have fast transactions.

Bitcoin ,Ethereum is too slow.

If not, we can not use it.

Though few more additions are also there but three above will be in DERO for sure.

Well, once again I wake up to find both DERO pools are on different blockchains and it is the official one that is far behind. It's hard to believe in a coin when the official pool keeps going down.

Pls check again ALL Pools and Network are on same chain.
As of writing block height: 16449  of whole DERO network.

If you are out of sync pls see post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2525508.msg27664933#msg27664933

Also start your daemon with following priority seeds:
./derod   --add-priority-node 89.38.96.169:18090  --add-priority-node 76.74.170.128:18090 --add-priority-node 212.8.242.60:18090 --add-priority-node 85.217.170.245:18090

Let me know if still any issues.

what does DERO stand for?

DERO brings different meaning to everyone.
Personally,  DERO is like when you are overseas and  there is waiting time to go home.
Apart from your duty you just dream when you will reach back home to your family and doing what!
For many it's a guiding force.

Yeah, that's great, but why do they keep getting out of sync in the first place? Also, I don't know who you are with a username suspiciously similar to the dev, but just showing up here acting like him without any explanation is a bit shady.

LOL, I'm an expert at this procedure by now; I don't need any more help doing it.

Also start your daemon with following priority seeds:
./derod   --add-priority-node 89.38.96.169:18090  --add-priority-node 76.74.170.128:18090 --add-priority-node 212.8.242.60:18090 --add-priority-node 85.217.170.245:18090

No, I don't think so. You need to explain who and what belongs to these IP addresses before anyone should do anything. For all we know it could be an alternative blockchain. The way the network seems to keep going down every night sure points in that direction already.

This IP-address are nothing but dns resolves of host found in https://github.com/deroproject/dero/blob/01c5fe482a3146729bab8be8ab3183262583544b/src/p2p/net_node.inl
As traffic increased in DERO network many seeds nodes including pool were upgraded to dedicated hosts, so to speed up the DNS propagation IP-address are provided of major seed hosts.

I was replying to all queries in this thread as well as in PM just like i relied to you all your queries here in this thread as well as in PM.
Also in addition to queries replying, i was preaching DERO got my previous acc locked for a week.
Will upgrade to copper membership once i get my main acc back.

This IP-address are nothing but dns resolves of host found in https://github.com/deroproject/dero/blob/01c5fe482a3146729bab8be8ab3183262583544b/src/p2p/net_node.inl

Yes, you may come to regret inviting me to join your pool!  Grin

The overriding theme of my complaints here is that MORE COMMUNICATION IS BETTER. If the main pool gets out of sync, explain what happened and, more importantly, what is being done to correct it. If your original account is locked for promoting DERO contrary to the site rules then you need to mention who you are and why you are posting from a new account on every single post you make (ie - just like in a sig, except I think you can't have a sig here until you reach a certain post or account age threshold).

Don't download the chain data in first attempt. Always first try with derod, it help to create data directory-structure/other-files required by daemon to function properly.
Several dedicated servers has been added so that users don't get sync problems and downloading data.mdb file not required unless you have really shaky/old/slow systems.
Can you post screenshot of the command and the error problem. No on really encountered such problem before.

To be part of DERO NETWORK and start mining  DERO:
Pls download daemon & wallet from below links , choose your OS.
https://github.com/deroproject/dero2/files/1534492/dero-windows64-bin.zip
https://github.com/deroproject/dero2/files/1534521/dero-linux-amd64.tar.gz

Extract and change into that directory by cmd-prompt.
Run derod.exe or derod depending on operating system. It will start syncing.
Open another command-prompt and run dero-wallet-cli.exe/dero-wallet-cli  and follow options to create wallet.
Make sure to backup your wallet-file/password/seed/key etc..
Also see below to start daemon with priority seeds to sync faster.

Incase DERO blockchain data not syncing.
Restart derod daemon and use status command to check status of daemon. If still not syncing delete chaindata and restart daemon.
Else for faster sync, download chain data from following link :
http://seeds2.dero.io/data.mdb     Replace data.mdb in  .dero/lmdb/ folder Or corresponding folder in windows user.
Windows users can look for dero-chain-data folder in their user folder or  C:\ProgramData\dero\lmdb

Also old miners start your daemon with  following option to add priority seeds to get sync faster with low latency network, If  having any issues:
Windows:
Code:
derod.exe --add-priority-node 89.38.96.169:18090  --add-priority-node 76.74.170.128:18090 --add-priority-node 212.8.242.60:18090  --add-priority-node 85.217.170.245:18090
Linux:
Code:
./derod   --add-priority-node 89.38.96.169:18090  --add-priority-node 76.74.170.128:18090 --add-priority-node 212.8.242.60:18090 --add-priority-node 85.217.170.245:18090
