I usually set a target price, when the coin is sold and changed into bitcoin or Fiat, I paid the price for my greed in the past many times. In the encrypted market, I must learn to control myself, because we can never sell the coin at the highest point.
You should have the calculations of the price or set the desired price of your target to sell and with the result of gaining more profit with your investment and thats the time to sell your coins.

The best time to sell altcoins is, when it's price is going higher. And if I bought altcoin for 1$ and price has reached 5$, I would sell it. The main rule is to be patient.

Just wondering if ya'll have a typical formula you go by or a certain X percentage profit or loss.
I've been playing around with coins for just under a month now. $23750 total investment and currently up just under 10k in profit. One of the coins (IOTA) has gone up about 288%. Obviously it would suck if it crashed but it would equally suck to sell if it continues to grow.
Just wondering what a lot of you folks do. I'm considering investing another 25 or 50k into coins. Ideally I'd like to net 15k a month off them but I know that may not be realistic on a monthly basis.
usually, a pretty good time to buy Altcoin is when the Altcoin price starts to increase. thus able to trigger the Altcoin price in the future to increase. besides, with Altcoin increase will give its own advantages to run the business from Altcoin's results.

In my experience, if the price has increased more than 50% or higher, then it is worth selling the token otherwise you can miss the chance to go out with a good profit.

Either fast after it comes to any bigger exchanges or wait for some major updates which can be really far away so i still think its better to hold altcoins that you see potential in.

We don't have to sell when prices fall, but a lot of people do it, but really have to hold their coins at lower prices. sell them when 3x 4x profit

to choose the right time to buy Altcoin is to see the market pitch. because by looking at developing the market we will know the movement of the market. so by understanding the movement of the market, we are able to get a good strategy to buy Altcoin that we want.

A good strategy, which I use last year -I buy an asset on the stock exchange or during ICO , transfer it to the wallet. If the asset has grown by 200-300%, I sell 50% of that, thereby i pay back my investments, the other part of the asset i will hold for several years.

this depends on your strategy in trading in my opinion do not be too hasty to sell if you know what you do, hold your coin and wait for the right moment to sell it.
Sometimes aside from your strategy in trading it is also depends upon your situation if you're in really need to sell or trade your coin or your just being feel tkk hasty tk sell your coin. But at the moment most of us are preferring to hodl our own coin and wait till the next pump hapoen agsin, but then the values of coins today is already good to sell it so that's why it is depends upon your strategy or your situation.

Generally, making the strategy is the perfect way to know the best time to sell. I myself will distinguish the time to sell for each coin. It will be based on the market price and its comparison when we bought the coins. Of course, we don't want to lose our amounts. So, keeping the coins at least after rising 20% or more will be nice to sell it. But, I'm not sure to sell them all. Some of them are best for saving, some are for sale. So, we still have some coins when the price grow higher.

I think whave to read more about information before sell the altcoins. In addition, Iam looking foor the good time to sell altcoin. Because, the time influence about the coins before we sell. So my opinion, we have to wait and read more information about coins before we would like to sell it.

I know when to sell when I reached my desired profit. Usually I do play safe at 5% the least and 500% max. But it really depends. You also need to remember to cut losses.

You should be developing your own formulas and using that to guide your trading choices.
Take the amount of fiat you put into crypto and look how much you would be getting if you put that in a safer investment, like real estate or precious metals. Then, calculate the percent increase that would give you in a what time, and double the percent increase. That will be your target price increase to sell. Anything below that and you would be better off just doing traditional investments.
It's important to not be greedy and make your selling points based off of numbers and data or else you will find yourself losing or going nowhere.
After you sell, then you calculate at what price coins need to drop in order for you to get more volume than before.
This is just a really general way to do it and it is important to develop your own because everyone's situation is different.
Another thing to be aware of, is if the market is bullish or bearish, if it is bullish you need to put your percent increase goals higher or you will be selling too early. You can look at trading histories to get a better idea on how high coins go during a bull run.

I always know it is time to sell my altcoin when I check the value of the coin in market. And if I know it will be profitable for me to sell then I sell it.

In my opinion, following the current price and trying to make new predictions about the new record prices according to old prices would be useful to choose a good time to sell altcoins. On the other hand, you should be very lucky to sell at the best time.

If you invest within the scope of the risk that you can control, then you must know when to sell your coins. You are a very investment plan person. Each person's investment plan is different. I think your current idea can control the risk. My sale plan is the same as you.

I have come to realize people will tell you when to buy, but will never tell you when to sell, that's the decision you make for yourself. As for me, once I get 5% profit am okay. I live to trade another day than losing all in the quest of getting 10%.

Maybe the best time to sell your coins is when you get possible sufficient profit of your coins, without any greed, if it is not possible due to any reason then you must wait till the sale give you at least invested amount, or you should invest for long term and enjoy the market flows and experiences of the market for your future.
