Do you have the contents of that e-mail or what?  I think you ought to quote it here for reference, but that's just my opinion.
I don't think quoting personal messages is the proper way, but we might disagree about whether PMs are actually private or not,
and I didn't explicitly ask Timelord to keep ours private, so if they insist on it, I guess there's nothing I can do against that.

I don't know why he went rogue, but that's what it appears happened.
Not topic of this thread, so if you have anything you want to ask me, PM me. I'd insist on that being private, however.

And I wasn't aware there were funds being held anywhere for this thing. That's news to me, but again I haven't been following this thread for a while.
The funds are from donations made for the mexxer-2 thread. That donation address has nothing to do with this thread.
While this thread and Lauda's thread carry on the initial idea of the known alts of anyone list, they are different projects.
The donations I hold were made during a time when mexxer-2 ran their thread and I managed most of the things for them.

As the quote by marlboroza shows, we've been clear that the donations are mainly meant for those taking the time to review submissions and format them to be added to the list.
It also mentions that the distribution of those funds is up to mexxers and my discretion. I hope that was clear to everyone donating.
If and when they are distributed, they should go to those who have contributed back then, not be forwarded to be allocated to and by someone else.
While I respect the time spent and work done here, this is not what the donations were made for.

Based on that, I do not plan to send the full amount to Timelord to be held in the new donation address.
I however do recognize that Timelord did actively contribute to the mexxer-2 thread and would be more than happy to forward them part of the donations for that help.
If Timelord wants to send me an address to where I can do that, and then send those funds on to the new donation address, that's their decision.

Also, if anybody had sent funds to the donation address I control and disagrees with my decision, they can contact me and upon verifying their donation, I will refund them, should they not be happy with my handling of it.

Well, I did some research and first connection looks suspicious. For second connection, I have found this thread:

My wallet on MEW is compromised. Someone stole all of my tokens from there. I think they hacked my desktop computer.
Now i expect to receive new tokens on this address and is too late to change with new address.
Is there any chance to change my private key, or to lock them wih password or any 2fa
Undecided

IIRC few similar cases exist, one ring has been caught lying that their address was hacked, while after "hack" they used address somewhere. Not saying this is the case, but, it is very strange that hack happened to 2 users with various connections.

Account dradin posted this email:
That looks like a name from ex-yu space.

Perhaps, better connection between account pickupcoin and examplens is this:

Excuse me, but what is wrong with my post? I don't see any particular difference between this post and merited one.

I didn't want quickseller getting a complex thinking I was singling him/her out for not using the submission form (and starting yet another thread of how hard done by they feel)

OK.

Lutpin's brief reply later this morning my time (via PM) was that distributing the donation funds previously raised is his exclusive right to decide. (am paraphrasing, but that's close to what he said - any mods can view his message and confirm the paraphrasing).

Quote
While I respect the time spent and work done here, this is not what the donations were made for.

He also says that this thread is not in the "same spirit" (if I can use that paraphrase) as the previous two threads started by mexxer-2 and Lauda.  How so?  The concept is exactly the same, the submission form is exactly the same (it's had colour added to make it more striking) and yet after seventy-nine pages Lutpin has only now come forward to say it's not in the same spirit.  Even the logo is still there (albeit not linking properly)

Lauda wanted to turn the thread into a moderated thread - we've all seen how Lauda has locked threads and deleted posts just recently in a melt down.  I chose to keep the thread unmoderated for amongst a number of issues, it enables those reported to plead their cases - sometimes more information has been uncovered than would have had their first posts been deleted on a whim.

Lutpin also states that the previous funds were distributed based on a decision made between mexxer-2 and himself:

Quote
As the quote by marlboroza shows, we've been clear that the donations are mainly meant for those taking the time to review submissions and format them to be added to the list.
It also mentions that the distribution of those funds is up to mexxers and my discretion. I hope that was clear to everyone donating.

All submissions are peer-reviewed, so every single person reading the thread has an opportunity to correct any mistakes or ask for clarification.

I can't actually recall an announcement being made by either what the logic behind their decision to gift a whopping $3.01 (0.00717535 btc) to four wallet addresses here: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/700f1549741197e996c4785d20ab53960d817f35569160807f8700aecb55fff4 with Lutpin receiving the lion's share in his (the fifth wallet address in the TX)  There was a second (from my recollection also unannounced) distribution of a near identical amount two days later in this TX https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/6ba9fcbdd1e74a0ffcf6fce3a6bc60b3c94f5a170fc10c7e67e84b3f40bce4a7 to any unidentified wallet address.

However,  I would dispute their applied logic given this from mexxer-2's OP.

Quote
Level of awesomeness (before the update):

Lutpin-->51.5
Timelord2067-->17
Joel_Jantsen-->6.5
whywefight-->6
mexxer-2-->4.5

During the Mk I thread's life it became apparent that mexxer-2 stopped counting *any* posts I made to be added to the Level of Awesomeness list and Lauda likewise did not count any/or nearly all posts so I would dispute the proportioning of funds to the six who were gifted donation funds.

As to the remaining donation funds, I actually don't want any; I've said as much a few pages back.  But, I'd appreciate it if Lutpin could delve into the logic mexxer-2 and he used to arrive at their determination who got how much?

So, let's start with an easy question:  As I am listed as in second place on mexxer-2's list, how come identical funds were distributed to me and presumably Joel_Jantsen, whywefight and mexxer-2?  You state the donations are for taking the time to review, but it looks like you based the payment on yourself being out in front...   Roll Eyes

My follow up question concerning mexxer-2 is if he's owed you money for at least two years,

How are you planing to have a discussion with mexxer-2 about how to distribute the remaining funds?  Are you also planing on creating a Flag to recover the funds mexxer-2 owes you?

*edit* Are you holding these funds to cover what mexxer-2 owes you?

(Second edit) How much does mexxer-2 owe you?

The elephant in the room then is if the last post in the Mk I thread was on the 03 December 2016, 05:10:49 AEST why are you still holding onto those funds?

Chris! in the fourth last post makes the observation that a new thread is needed and the thread is locked fifty-six minutes later.

Similarly, Lauda in one of his previous temper tantrums locks the Mk II thread (which was created less than fifteen hours after the Mk I's last post) on the 07 December 2017, 18:54:36 AEST - I then create the Mk III thread nineteen hours later and PM as many Investigators as I can that the thread has been created and will remain unmoderated.  The only concern in the discussion in the transformation from Mk II to Mk III is the creating of a Google Spread Sheet.

Lauda takes his bat and ball and goes home stating he will not contribute, but airs no concerns AT ALL.

Quote
While this thread and Lauda's thread carry on the initial idea of the known alts of anyone list, they are different projects.

If the Mk III follows on from the Mk II and the Mk II follows on from the Mk I in the same format, submission style etc, how is the Mk III any different?

Quote
I don't think quoting personal messages is the proper way

I've seen numerous people feign indignation recently that PM's have been made public, I don't think there's any need for either of us to make in public that needs to be canvased by posting the other's PM's.

Mk I   - 65 pages, 1,287 posts
Mk II  - 73 pages, 1,441 posts
Mk III - 79 pages, 1,570 posts (and counting)

So Lutpin, please forward the remaining 0.017975 BTC (less *appropriate* transaction fees) from the wallet address 1KnownF41AXkhgry3wNTHJ7NZM6jo1Kohy to the wallet address 1KnownXXXNtrjT539vAWckYqWi77jgUXs6 [Signed] as previously requested.

Sorry bud, just a ledger of the block-chain transactions.  How that is recorded I don't know.

Lutpin has been online each day [3], [4], [5] which tells me he has no intention of responding to the request or justifying his actions.

I'm away now until Monday my time (about eighty hours from now). At that time I'll have to step up my depute if no response occurs - I think I've given Lutpin enough time now.

he has no intention of responding to the request
I did so in my previous post, I told you I won't hand over the funds.

he has no intention of justifying his actions.
My previous post has a lengthy explanation of my decision.
You might not like it, you might disagree, but it's there.

At that time I'll have to step up my depute if no response occurs.
Do whatever you think is necessary.
Just keep in mind that you're not in the right here, and any action you take might amount to a violation, eg if you attempt to start a flag.

Hello all! I have quite a bit of balance in my americascardroom account. I cannot withdraw it so I am trying to sell it half off via the P2P transfers.

I have tested the P2P and I can transfer it and it can be withdrawn.

Im selling it for half of what the value is, ex: $50 will get you a $100 P2P transfer.

If you would like to buy or have questions, please add me on skype: sb.agar

Thanks and have a great day!

Donations:

I do not know who controls the wallet address 1KnownF41AXkhgry3wNTHJ7NZM6jo1Kohy which at the time of writing this has a balance of 0.017975 BTC (ie $ 268.3 USD on the 8th of December 2017 - via preev.com ) - It is also a little unclear the logic behind the distribution of prior donations from that address to some contributors...

The following is a "live" balance:
which is valued at

1KNoWNMK34nGWz2sJy1JzihZdLCGTKcziw
1KnownXXXNtrjT539vAWckYqWi77jgUXs6

For what will you use donations?

Are they going to be distributed to contributors in this thread? Or? I maybe want to donate something but I want to know in which way you will use these funds.

You have already answered your own question:

Donation funds are specifically for mexxer's thread. I believe they are for users who posted their findings in that thread.

At any rate there was a couple of ideas put forward starting here on the 5th of April 2019

Given you are a somewhat regular contributor to this thread you will have no doubt seen this post and read the contents of the signed message:

Are there any objections to me using .....

I have none...and I guess others as well judging from their silence.

Quote
*IF* people were ok with me holding any donation funds I have an idea of using said funds to bid on a slot in the semi weekly advertising spot below the first post on a page to advertise the Known Alt thread to a wider audience.

Hmm. Good idea but I would prefer to give the slice of donations to be used to donate to tool developers priority over this. Still good idea but BTW 0.02 BTC is the minimum bid and, plus there are other bidders as well. Cheesy

You have already answered your own question:

Donation funds are specifically for mexxer's thread. I believe they are for users who posted their findings in that thread.
So if I donate to addresses posted by you that funds will go to users who contributed in thread started by mexxer? Or:

*IF* people were ok with me holding any donation funds I have an idea of using said funds to bid on a slot in the semi weekly advertising spot below the first post on a page to advertise the Known Alt thread to a wider audience.

I don't feel giving pennies to a couple of dozen people, or proportionally a dollar to one person and nickels and dimes to a handful of others based on the number of posts is the way to go.
You will use funds to bid ad space? Or:

You did read this didn't you?  Roll Eyes I have created Vanity Addresses 1KNoWNMK34nGWz2sJy1JzihZdLCGTKcziw and 1KnownXXXNtrjT539vAWckYqWi77jgUXs6 for use in the Known Alts Mk III thread for donations to support the team of investigators as they see fit to distribute the donated funds from time to time.
You will use funds to support the "team of investigators"? How will you support "team"?

Who the fuck is "team of investigators"? You placed this feedback on my trust page:

Quote
Formerly an investigator with the "Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk III" team.
When was I fired or better question is where and when have we signed contract that we are team of investigators?

Why are you lying in my trust page?

Question is, again:

For what will you use donated funds?  Update topic with correct information where donated funds will go.

I have reached an agreement and am in receipt of donation funds which can be viewed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5158127.0  I will amend the OP to reflect the new information shortly.

If anyone has suggestions as to where the donated funds can be best utilized, I will gladly send those funds out into the wild providing it doesn't get bogged down in disagreement.

Note, I again state I do not ask for any compensation for my contributions to the Known Alts thread.  Other than that, what are people's suggestions as to where best spend the donation funds?

I am now away for a couple of days and look forward to everyone's thoughts and suggestions.

Does anyone have any idea on how the byteball blockchain works?

Maybe, @yahoo62278 can help you with that. Back then he's the one running the Campaign for ByteBall, so maybe he knows something... Knowing him, he always checks and review the projects that he's in...

Thank you now take part of my support and send funds to charity organization because I won't be visiting this thread any more and I don't feel like you should keep something that is meant to support "team of investigators" in donation address for people who won't contribute here any more.

After you are done send me proof that you have send my share to charity organization.

@Marlboroza:

Have come across two charity lists that accept bitcoin:

This other list is a list of sites that accept donations for victims of domestic violence...

How much do you think your contributions over time are worth?

I could ask @LoyceV to do up a list similar to this list for all three threads if you like?

So anyways, @marlboroza can't even bother himself to respond to where he'd like his donation to a registered charity to go to... much less respond to how much he thinks his contributions are worth in terms of bitcoins...

Let's say he's worth as much as my contributions and the BTC 0.001 that I received in this transaction...

I've said I don't want any Known Alts donation funds, so I'll match marlboroza's donation with BTC 0.001 that I received that I'd like to return making BTC 0.002 to be donated to charities...

My own donation wallet address 1GaLLifreynEg6456XqDKYJYyBmyY2cJbw has a grand total of BTC 0.004 so I'll use those funds - BTC 0.002 mentioned above, plus BTC 0.001 to return to the Known Alts donation addresses listed in post four and in this post and the final BTC 0.001 (less various transaction fees) will going to fund my wallet to help test LoyceV's Legendary Little Lightning Loans

The five donations of BTC 0.0004 each were to:

Via this transaction https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/7039ed522eb79c75212395d873403d38b2847922c36e6cda8debb58040ab4213

@marlboroza You're a great guy - really ... you are... I wouldn't have given you fifteen of my hard earned merits if I didn't think you were worth it.  (more than 10% of all the merits I've earned the hard way - though posts of worth)

But they were hard earned each and every one of those 30 merits to then give to you.  You're on the merit-go-round handing out circle jerk merits for the most frivolous posts then want to climb onto your high horse and lecture the people doing the real work in this forum.  Take a look at the links to those charities.  There's real people out there who are hurting.

I really think you should refund me all thirty merits I earned to give to you and watch you squander.

Please keep your promise to never come back into this thread.
