Kidding aside, Philippines is a great country, It's an obvious answer as many foreigners go here because of the view, scenery and other tourist spots, but most of all, because of the People. Philippines is more than what it seems. It maybe a small country comprised of many island but Filipinos have the biggest heart when accepting visitors from other countries.

In My opinion the Philippines is one of the places where all tourists are welcome. The Philippines has the most beautiful tourist attractions, I mean there are 7,100 stunning Islands You can explore and relax in.

Philippines...One of the world best country... lots of beautiful beaches, beautiful faces, beautiful voices and beautiful smile...Philippines is a unique place with a unique people.. they maybe prone to natural disaster like typhoon, landslide, tidal wade etc. because of its location and climate but these does not move them, they will only shake it off as of the dust and stand and live again..they maybe stumble and fallen 7x but they will still get up walk away and smile even int he midst of calamity... they're great when comes to friendship they will not leave you alone..they will love you as if you're one of them... they have also great food, great places if you haven't try anything... your missing something!

I who live in the beautiful paradise called the Philippines , I am proud and first thing that comes to my mind everytime they said Philippines or the country of Philippines is. Philippines is one of the most beautiful destination on the world , mostly the island of palawan. Philippines is the best country to travel on , with this beautiful island , there's so much to enjoy and to explore. We have many foods , some is exotic , but some food have a story behind. By the hospitality of the Filipino , you can enjoy to stay on , Philippines is one of the beautiful island , a full of magic and enjoyment , a place to stay on with you and your families. A place to relieve , to release , and to relax and that is the country of Philippines.

I live in the country. Yes there's a lot of stunning locations but most of us locals never get to see it unless we leave near those. I only get to see the beaches on TV. Being poor in a third world country sucks.

The climate is something I'm not fond of, too hot and humid for my taste. Well, at least in the lowlands, the country is surrounded by water that it would be surprising if it's not humid.

People, yeah we're mostly nice to tourists. It would also depend on the area. A lot of the people are not really exposed to certain ideas (they call atheists Satanists for example, and also we call blacks Negro so that might offend the unprepared) so if you're planning to stay for an extended period, you may have to watch out for touchy topic.

But then again, we'll probably just nod politely whatever you may say.

Aside from being hospitable, Filipino is also known as a happy person, responsible and friendly. But the most disgusting thing that is not good to be membered and need to be change is from being irresponsible of taking care some of historical places and by being easily enfluence by other countries. It seems that the pride of being Filipino has been left behind by many and not surprisingly the true Identity will be lost on the coming years.

for the first timer like you might be afraid because of what you heard right now in news about judicial killings , drugs and terrorism.. but if you will try to visit the philippines for 3 days for a vacation and tour you will see and realize why many foreign people choose to live and work here.

hiya elseye, people here are quite welcoming to foreigners, don't worry! at most they will try to overcharge you lol.

if you're looking to stay in manila, then high-end/business districts such as taguig, makati or ortigas would be better and safer. if you're planning to stay in the provinces then it depends. a place like boracay with tons of foreign tourists would be best for you, but in general people out in the boonies are very friendly and honest. do you have an idea of where you would like to go?

This is exactly right. Yeah, we have a lot of tourist spot, whether in land or water and under water, caves etc. And the Hospitality of people never change especially if you're tourist especially foreigners.

I like El Nido or Palawan Island (western tip of the Philippines) One of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the Philippines with its surrounding limestone glimmering mountains. enjoying the splendid beach tour of the very unusual beauty of El Nido.

If the government succeeds in developing the infrastructure and tourism facilities, then it can become a major destination for international tourists, just like Malaysia and Singapore. But then, the security situation needs to improve as well. The Marawi siege and the ISIS insurgency were major blows to the local tourism industry.

This country is rich of different culture and traditions especially those in the provinces. I love their festivals and the way they celebrate christmas and new year. They have a beautiful sense of family bonding and a lot of smiles on their faces.
