Though I think most of the buying has been around hype for Wall St "entering" the market through futures, including Wall St itself starting to buy Bitcoin recently leading up to their futures trades. Once the futures hit I expect probably some big price swings as there is confusion as to whether futures will be good or bad for bitcoin (I think short term its just gonna cause a ton of volatility but mid-term and long-term it will boom the price). Well, we would not know yet unless the bubble bursts. I hope we won't keep calling it a bubble until the value reaches $100k though. Crazy is even an understatement. The current value has shown us so far that anything can happen in the bitcoin world. We have 21million units that would be in supply and so many people want to at least be a part of it. The unpredictable growth of Bitcoin is creating more tension than happiness among its holder now, servers are crashing Block chain is getting highly conjugated making transaction fees higher and flooding the forum with questions regarding bitcoin. Users are stunned with the recent hike and are not sure it is wise move to hold bitcoin or sell them. As, once again it is widely speculated that Bitcoin is going to crash bringing fear among its holders.

Crashing is inevitable for anything that exists on earth and bitcoin will certainly share that same fate sooner or later ! But i don't think it'll be that soon and even tho this scaling rate is getting a bit scary , people are very happy with it especially for those who invested before it reached 5k dollars per coins since they are already making some 300%-ish of profits in just few months !

Bitcoin still has a lot of momentum and we have seen it deal with similar crashs/breaks/fall downs before and yet people are more and more pumping money in it , investing in it and especially believing in it , and if they continue doing so it won't be fading away any soon .

The block's size and the transactions time/fees have been the biggest drawback till now and yet people are still going all in about bitcoin because the current moment is always the best moment to buy (except when there's a correction or a hard fork planned ) . And the 20k record is totally doable before even 2018's kick off .

when I saw bitcoin today on CNN I was seriously happy because I think bitcoin is now attracting mainstream media and I am happy that this is happening in our time. January 2018 is already here and we expect bitcoin to go as high as $20,000 before end of this year. I have been speculating that we would be talking about $25,000 by January this year and this will be achievable by the grace of God.  I have been holding some of my coins since January this year and I know what there are worth now and getting to $20,000 is a great improvement to me.

I think it will correct hugely but by no means is that a crash for me. A crash implies something negative happened or that the value will lose 50%+ in a short while which again I don't think will happen. It would really be a gift but the truth is that I thought $15k would be a gift, but then when it came, I decided to shift base to another price. 20k may be possible or may not be possible, but the truth is only the future can tell us if it will or not.
