With the huge fluctuation looking at charts..

Im assuming when the difficulty level rises to about 10 times where its at now youll see the price go up exponentially due to it needing to be worth peoples time..

i have a very string feeling, that as soon as it becomes very hard to mine even with asics people will have to buy bitcoins to participate in the market..
and that will drive the course up..

so yes, i strongly believe we will see $200 again.. maybe faster than we think..

I guess everything is correlated, the more difficult it is to get bitcoins, but its value will rise, right?
Not necessarily, BTC value will not raise if adoption rate didn't change.

BTC adoption is raising all the time. Atleast there are already a lot more full nodes than there were 6 months ago for example. Check my signature to give your prediction about the BTC/USD rate at the end of the year. And yes, Bitcoin will definitely hit 200 USD again in case nothing critical happens.

Ofcourse! if another country's government goes corrupt(which unfortunately, they always are(I'm talking extremely corrupt here)) and the citizens of the country turns towards the bitcoin network for hope, buying out most of the bitcoins in circulation making the price skyrocket up to 200-?$, which is unlikely to happen) Note: the above is just my opinion, if you disagree, then disagree......

Here are some things I think might be brewing in the short term to drive the price up:

-German elections are on Sept 22. It's widely believed Merkel is delaying dealing with further EU financial problems until after the elections. I think any bad news about EU would be good for BTC, especially if there are more "bail-ins" with the much larger economies of Spain or Italy or Portugal.

-Central banks around the world might slow money supply growth throwing stock markets in reverse. Some of the outflows from equities could end up in BTC, plus the general fear effect would be positive for BTC price.

-Bad economic news from China; such as housing bubble burst, waves of defaults, much slower GDP growth, etc. Also increased murmurings from the PBOC of going back to the gold standard or restoring Bretton Woods might be good for speculation though any real move like that seems pretty far off.

-We've had summer's worth of serious VC going to BTC startups; we might see a wave of major improvements in BTC infrastructure coming in the fall

Absent any major news I'd hope it will stay around 100.

It hit $200 before?
I'm definitely going to be buying some bitcoin soon, then. Buy low and sell high and all that.

Yes,
I think that the BTC -> USD will reach 200 yeah, maybe even further!
But WHEN?
It depends...
Maybe 2014, 2015...
But not in 2013 for sure!
It has increased in the past few days yes but still i think that it will reach $200 in 2013.
But leps hope so!  Wink

Definitely going to become stable over $200 in the next year.

It has hit $200 and more and I think it will, there is too little Bitcoin on the market and interest is strong.
