When I was starting with BTC I would not guess that it  will go over 50 dollars ...  so yeah sky is the limit for this king of internet currencies Wink  I think before the year is over it will hit 200...

I think it's inevitable that it reaches $200 in the, somewhat, near future. USD's value must decrease compared to other types of currency due to factors such as outside manipulation, money printing, and the overall debt of the country. As USD continues it's rapid downtrend, I would suspect BTC, just like other tradable items, i.e. gold, will continue to rise overall.

Do i think it will hit $200?? --> YES!

When do i think we'll see $200? Extremely difficult to say.

If we continue the current trend.. then maybe by dec-jan..

But there are ASIC miners coming online september and october.. that will give a better picture of where we're headed.

The next 24 hours are critical!

There are so very serious investigations that are taking place currently (e.g. http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2013/08/13/officials-broaden-inquiries-into-oversight-of-bitcoin-and-other-currencies/).

Once the results of the government's investigation has concluded, the price of bitcoin could be significantly affected (either positive or negative - depending on the results).  Obviously, if a large number of US bitcoin holders don't want to take the risk of holding large numbers of bitcoins, the price will skyrocket down.

Other considerations are that places like Argentina have significantly higher bitcoin to fiat rates due to large inflation that is occurring.

Based on this, I predict we will not see 200 soon. Instead one digit number is possible this year

Please everyone sell your Bitcoin immediately to drop the price so I can actually get some! Thank you. Thank you very much. (To answer your question: $200? Easily. Unless it goes to zero. That's not how I would bet, however).

people... less speculation please and more "main street" transactions with BTC...
(it will help all the middle and lower class merchants who accept BTC)

You wanna see BTC rise and shine?
Then use it like you would use any other real money.
Don't hoard it all, but trade with it, buy stuff and services with it.

It's what makes a money strong and stable.

I really think that before the year 2015 the bitcoin will be ether at 1-10€ or at 1.000-10.000€ depends all on futher coverment operations, in the time period from now till 2015. If they really try to also shut down Silkroad after already shutting down Freedom Hosting a week ago, if they shut down bank accounts from big bitcoin exchangers or if the the hole becoin system even stays uncracked, as we know there is no 100% safe system. It also depends on the situation on all the big currencies around the world, if they get more and more unstable the bitcoin price can only go up.

Maybe I'm wrong, what do you think?

Given enough time, I am sure Bitcoin will hit $200 again. The big question is when, and how far will it go.
It would appear Bitcoin is going to have a long future, as more people come aboard it becomes more solidified.
