Much hanging on the situation in the US right now and how that impacts the $. Remember that BTC is always marked on $ so if we see exchange rates move on the $, we will also see value change in BTC. If I can suddenly start getting 2$ for my GBP my BTC is also worth less.
complete nonsense - if the USD goes down in a rush BTC will skyrocket like anything, because it is not bound to any other asset or currency. but in difference to USD nobody can print BTC |

Price will rise for sure in the future. There is no way people now will start to use Bitcoins less, it's spreading.

I do not see bitcoin hitting the $200 mark any time soon. If I had to guess I would say 1-1.5 years.

It will hit $200 soon because the BTC difficulty is -- and has been -- rising exponentially. Whenever something becomes more scarce (or more difficult to obtain), it becomes more valuable. Economics 101.
To be a profitable miner now, you need to have scores of GHz, and most people don't have that.

Block reward halving will happen in about 3 years. I Believe before it happens, 200 will not only hit, but 200 will be stable |

The next step for bitcoin will be foreign workers using it to remit money back home. Since most of these workers are agricultural, we can expect to see a few early adopters in the spring when these people really get working, and systems start coming online that enables them to do it easily.
Thus, I say a stable $175 by the end of Spring, and a stable $200 by late 2014

With the Chinese boom just starting, and "Plunder Woman" to take over the Fraudulent Reserve, my expectation of $400 by about the middle of next year looks fairly conservative now. I think it may reach at least $600 within about a year.

Definitively it seems reasonable if you plot these expected future values with existing history values. |

200 is psychological barrier. 1xx = Im buying. 2xx = its too expensive. It is how our brain works. 1000 is another huge psychological barrier, hard to overcome |
