Promotion is acctualy only thing this coin needs...

As backwards as this may sound, as Dev, I would take DMD off the markets so that it becomes more exclusive and/or hard to get. This will also help with keeping DMD off of the ('coughs' PARASITE) coin hopper pool's radar.

Without an exhange at hand, people will resort to using escrow and/or make person to person transactions. This will facilitate trust among the early adopters and enthusiasts of DMD and other crypto communities.

Let us, and not the trade-bot bubble blowers, decide what our work is worth !

Problem with this approach is that if its not on a market aka there is no market for it well, there is no market for it.  You also have no idea if other coin hopping pools that don't list the coins that they mine are currently mining DMD away.  Making a cryptocurrency exclusive kills part of the idea behind them in the first place. 

You are just bringing up ways to make your pot of DMD more valuable so you can then sell them when you feel is the "appropriate" time.  What are you holding them for if not to sell?  Its not like this coin has a future of goods and services planned that makes them actually have real world value.  I'm holding a few hundred DMD and also mining it when its profitable and selling some too.  Everybody has there own approach to holding/selling coins and I for one don't care how other people do it  I care about when I sell mine to maximize my profit.  Having an exchange gives this coin its only purpose in life, to be sold/traded.

What this coin realty needs is some tie into the mainstream world.

Shops that will accept it for goods, perhaps be able to but Diamonds with it as you can buy gold with other currancys maybe an auction site.

Until it starts to get these things the coin will always be a pump and dump coin.

I think you are missing the point, those stats are just that, stats.  They are data.  It is impossible for data to spread FUD as data is what it is. Again you are trying to say that things like multipool are bad or "parasites" in your words because they give people an easy way to maximize their profitability?  Why do you want coins to stay in the dark and off markets and peoples radar?  Without growth or a market most if not all coins will die.  They need real world services to make them have any reason to exist in the first place. 

Do you really think that this coin along with 85% of them out there will survive?  Or should survive at all? Most were created for one purpose, to get you to trade your BTC which actually has value for them so the miners can make real money.

Complain all you want about this coin not doing much, as it sits it shouldn't.  It provides nothing to the crypto community that will benefit anyone.  At least with a market miners can trade them.  Without that why would anyone mine DMD.

While I agree with you that people including me are not selling many or any of this coin they mine, you still failed to answer any of my questions directed at you pertaining to your original statements wanting to close markets and keep this coin off the radar of big pools.  I would love to be enlightened as to why your argument has any validity.

Hi guys,
 Some of you might know me from the work on the new PHS client.

I have some DMD and have been talking to a few in the DMD community in regards to the need of some dev maintenance on this coin.  It seems the creator is open to new development and no longer doing any active development or maintenance on this coin. You may know PoS coins do require some level of continued maintenance to prevent attacks or worse. After looking at the code, it seems, at the minimum, to require some small updates to strengthen the chain, and also I see some opportunities for improvements.  These of course would be minor and I have no interest In doing anything like a hard fork, etc, especially since the coin seems to be doing quite well on it's own as is.

Anyway it seems like this coin has an active community and at least deserves some attention, so if anyone has any input/thoughts to some minor updates and maintenance, please respond with them.

 I will also be happy to accept any donations to furthering development below.

What impresses me the most is the fact that even without support this coin had a constant and solid network of about 150mhs.

I totally agree!  It is doing more than great for a coin that is not maintained or promoted, so again, i can help setting up the Block Explorer, if anyone wants to host it, i think someone on the other takeover thread said that it was already working on a LAN, but until it goes online, any volunteers just let me know and ill help !

The facts are easily known and plain to see. I've stated my case now its up to you and others to decide who the FUDders really are.

The current IFC crash is a prime example of what I'm hoping will be avoided if we build a consensus on these key issues.

How can this be considered an asset?  Of what?  It has no point other than to be mined and traded for BTC.  There is nothing planned or in the works for the near future for DMD. 

I mine and trade when the price is right but beyond that what's the point?    Without a purpose other than trading for BTC a coin is dead in the water.

I am for the most part done with this mine n dump attitude because it has cost me a small fortune. About 60 BTC in all, when I tally up all of my LTC, TRC, PPC, IFC should have.. would have.. could haves. Not bad for someone who has never run more than 5 gpus. eh ?!

Btw, if and when I decide to sell, it will be not just a few coins but the whole damn fully matured wallet.dat file ! and
