GTX 1080 Gigabyte Windforce 8 GB, at around 1800 Mhz base and 4640 Mem, power limit 92%:
around 1.1 MH / s at -i 7. Trying i 5 crashes hsrminer after a few minutes.
Temp: 62 degrees

It seems everybody here is doing better. Any pointers to things I could do to improve the rate?

We're on hybrids, so the temps are pretty cool, around 55c, memory around 64c. If I reboot or restart hsrminer, it goes back to normal.

What OC settings are you applying? Try putting them lower than what you would with ccminer.
I can OC my 1080 Ti core on CC to +150 but only around +130 on HSR. HSR still gets a better hash rate though

Your mem clock is extremely low for this type of memory. Set it to 5400 at least, also delete the intesity setting. HSR miner will do the job for you and set it better. Also if you have such low temp, maybe it is not good idea to lower power limit especially for neoscrypt.

Letting hsrminer set intensity has resulted in a mysterious drop in hashrate by 100-150 kH/s after 1-3 hours of operation, and this is with two separate GTX 1080 on two very different machines. But in the spirit of science I'll try your suggestions. I noticed you don't mention anything about core clock, though, and that seems to be the source of woes for me.

Right now my Asus GTX 1080 ROG Strix edition is hashing at 1208 kH/s while drawing 166W at 85% PL, -125 core (varying between 1595 to 1670) and +300 mem (4811). (while typing this the hashrate dropped to 1176 kH/s... sigh).

My older EVGA GTX 1080 FE is hashing at 1218 kH/s while drawing 146W at 85% PL, +125 core (1633 to 1658) and +300 mem (4811 again).

In both cases setting -i 4 resulted in about 100 kH/s lower hashrate but with no real change in stability, at least for the FE card; I didn't bother repeating the same experiment with the Asus.

2) Replaced ccmimer.exe in the folder \bin\ccminer_tpruvot
3) In file General.json changed "ApiBindPortPoolStart": 4000 --> 4001

Yes, that works except that after a few crashes Nicehases starts using port 4002, 4003, etc...

Indeed: moving memory to +300 (4811) and power to 100% I am now mining at 1210 MH/s @ 192W reported my hsrminer

increasing tdp over this causes miner to give cuda error hash unknown failure, am i doing something wrong?

Not as far as I can tell. If I set memory to +400, - 200, +0, it has zero hash increase.

You got some impressive hashrates on the 1050TI's! May I ask what GPU model and OC settings you use?

With the default Nicehash miner I get around 380 kH/s and with HSR miner I get around 515 kH/s.

Or are you simply building out nicehash legacy with your preferred miners and still letting it manage profit switching?

You might be able to help me there: I simply do not know how to mine differently. Yes: Nicehash is great for profit switching, but if the rates of hsrminer are real then it's better than anything else out there.
