My computer lost power and my wallet shut down abruptly. I tried restarting the wallet and now I get "Assertion Failed" message. Does anyone know how to get the wallet working again?

Hi crypt0kid

"Assertion Failed" is an error thrown when the database has become corrupted.
The best thing to do is to:
-backup your wallet.dat file
-remove the supercoin folder
-start the supercoin wallet program (which will automatically recreate all the files and folders)
-use the blockchain snapshot to speed up your sync
-let is sync completely
-copy back your backupped wallet.dat to the supercoin folder

That should solve your problem Smiley

Wow new coin. Supercoin, and now I am more curious than ever and I want to know more about this coin. Anything that would let me receive coins right away like bounties and faucets?  I will purchase it in the future but want to get some for free if that is possible, think of it like an airdrop. Thanks.

Yeah that means you have to resync again. Delete everything except wallet.dat from Supercoin folder of appdata-->download & extract everything from supercoin snapshot (for faster synchronization)-->Launch your wallet.
Process will take a bit time but you'll be okay.We should backup wallet.dat time to time coz if that file get corrupted from these situation, all of our coins will be gone.
I backup entire Supercoin folder time and again, so if such problem occurs, I can just use that backup and sync from that point rather that syncing from scratch.

Hi benedictonathan
Of course you can!
Do take into account that we're a community of enthusiasts, so we currently do no financially compensate translations.
If you're still willing to do the translations for free, that would be awesome! Cheesy
Thanks in advance!

Hi iTradeChips
SuperCoin isn't new actually, it's been around since 2014!
It has survived where many others did not! Smiley

At this moment there are no bounties/faucets/airdrops scheduled.
I'm afraid that there's no such thing as free money, you can however purchase SuperCoin from https://www.coinexchange.io/market/SUPER/BTC

We're now starting to manage it more professionally than it has ever been before!
So if our work gets appreciated, their current price of 0.00000200BTC might just be steal Smiley

Nevertheless, as it goes for any investment/coin
NEVER put in more money than you are willing to risk!

Sure there is.

At the next meeting, come up with things worth having bounties for, quite willing to donate. I hold Super for years now. I may even be open to outright fund a faucet (10k Super enough?) if the proper campaigning and social aspect were to be lined up to make it worthwhile. (to garner attention and spread Super awareness).  Further, I'd pledge 25k super towards an ACTUAL DEV coming on...One that doesnt have other concurrent projects. This coin could have been cloak or darkcoin, it simply lacked a dedicated dev.

Gerry you seem enthusiastic and proactive. Glad to have you here as a community leader.  Two weeks ago you said a 2018 roadmap would be up.  in the past, Super constantly missed deadlines its devs stated. We can't have that happen again. just my 2 satoshis. Keep at it. Super Supporter here.

Hi Ticked

Glad to have you on board!
Are you on the discord channel yet?
If not, feel free to join!

We are already looking for "actual developers". It just takes time to set these things up.
Thanks for you donation proposal, we'll be sure to include it in the next meeting.
Again, let me know if you're willing to join the conversation.

Actually, the meeting report included the roadmap. I know it's a bit crude but it's already better then what we had (nothing) Smiley

Are there any plans for listing on new exchanges?

I do not like Yobit at all and would like something with larger volumes of trades.

Hmmm... SUPERCOIN lives and develops.

It's a great coin, but it needs refreshing and I think it's worth buying them a bit.

Thanks for your feedback!

Gerry,

Apologies, I didnt realize you were developing. I was speaking mostly in reference to previous devs (after the original) who clearly didnt have the time nor ability to bring SUPER to the next level.

AS for the road map, this tweet:
https://twitter.com/supercoinv2/status/952957071988854786
and lack of follow up in the public eye makes it easy to overlook the fact that a roadmap was laid out here in thread.  I know it sounds crazy, but the vast majority of crypto owners are not on this board. lol. Not that im complaining about that.

Im not on discord, and frankly, my computer expertise isn't up to par to contribute anything worthy to the project. Simply an investor and businessman. I keep an eye on this thread & I won't be going anywhere. I've hodl'd this long and it's paid off quite well already, why not a few more years.  Cool

I hadn't chimed in on SUPER in years, but now that traction has begun again, it's exciting.  I'll pipe up from time to time, but feel free to PM for any reason.

Keep on staking lads!

I did that. Wallet isn't syncing. It's been stuck on block 47003 for several hours.

If you are using bootstrap, how on earth you could stuck in the middle. You will go through directly to the block height at which time that bootstrap was taken after a while of launching your wallet and should start downloading the most recent blocks that were not in the bootstrap file.

It's not my first time using bootstrap. Downloaded it extracted the files and added them to my Supercoin folder after deleting all of the other files except Supercoin.conf and wallet.dat. Then I copied all of the nodes from coinexchange and pasted them into Supercoin.conf and launched the wallet. I relaunched the wallet and now it's stuck on 49700 block.
