Before the coins mature they need to see a certain amount of blocks found.

"difficulty" : 221.92039577 correct me if i'm wrong, but couldn't the difficulty drop by 50% over 20 blocks if/when people stop mining?

Before the coins mature they need to see a certain amount of blocks found. His coins will never confirm. He just sits with 0 blocks downloaded chain, 0 connections outside, and his client keep mining at initial, ~0 difficulty (that's default client behaviour, to keep mining on current block, no matter what). He keeps mining useless blocks at 0 height, too stupid to connect his client properly and too stupid to understand, that he did not own ANY coins.

Is removing UPnP support a type of scam to allow more early mining for people with the UPnP patch?
Easier to compile without upnp. The world does not owe you a client.

9 rounds of hashing from 6 hashing functions (blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein) What coin did that first? Another coin was SIC or Sifcoin - from a russian creator. I don't know if it was the first. But look at these params - Inflatocoin https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/676-sifcoin-sic-information/It goes to show that you can innovate, but if someone copy/pastes with better parameters, that coin will do better.

Quarkcoin difficulty falling a bit. Now at "200". Transactions still moving along at a good clip. Besides the hashpersec not shown this coin is doing nicely.

Sha-3 is mentioned in Inflatocoin. The Russian CopperLark (mcxnow.com) is based on sha-3 and they have a GPU miner already.

Quark does borrow hashing functions from SIC, but has significant differences: 1. Instead of 6 rounds of hashing, 9 rounds of hashing, with 3 of the rounds applying a random hash algorithm. 2. Different difficulty adjustment algorithm. 3. Different reward calculation algorithm. 4. Quark supports transaction comments (similar to Florin). This functionality will be exposed in the UI and RPC interface in a future release.
