If you can not reach the minimum amount of investment by Soft cap, the project simply will not be launched, it is supposed to return money to investors.

And how will the companies that have spent their time advertising this project act with the bounty members? After all, they worked maybe 1.5 -2 or 3 months, they will not get anything? They went in vain to invest their work and time to promote this project?

First, a hard cap is a more money than the soft cap in several times. After a moment when the project in ICO sale reached a hard cap, the token will have listened on exchanges. First, it will no TOP markets.

Only because a project reaches it's hardcap it does not mean anything regarding exchanges. A project can reach the hardcap and still needs months before getting listed at exchanges..there are many examples of them, unfortunately I am also invested in such a project.

If the project does not collect soft cap then further development of the project stops.Due to the large number of ICO, there are now more such projects

What is the difference of hard cap to soft cap? Did we base on this if we are going to invest in altcoins? Share your comments.

If you are going to invest in altcoins which are already on exchanges, it doesn't matter, you see only final cap. Soft and hardcap are ICO terms.

A soft cap is the minimum needed for the project to proceed and a hard cap is the amount that they will accept no more than. For instance a soft cap could be 10 million and a hard cap 30 million meaning if the project does not attain 10 million it will not proceed and also if it reaches 30 million no more can be contributed.
Precisely. What soft cap and hard cap means. I prefer basing my investment on the successful coins that barely hit or has hit the hard cap to be on the safe side of investing.

IMO, we can base on how the projects ICO is doing through its hard cap and soft cap, if it has a decent amount of investors investing in it we can safely assume that if it launches in the market investing in it will be worth it. Personally before I invest my money on any new tokens I would look on its past crowdfunding if it has a decent amount of funds that supported it. So yeah, basing on soft cap and harp cap is definitely worthwhile to know whether it is a good investment or just another sh*tcoin.

Did we base on this if we are going to invest in altcoins?
It depends on your strategy sometime people invest on altcoins after reaching its soft cap because there is a higher chance that this coin will succeed can also be called "playing safe" but others dont base on it they are basing on the project and its papers.

This is one of the most frequently used categories for deciding whether a project is worth investing or not. With the project already able to achieve soft cap, then the project can be said to be worth investing

I am see one project who raise soft cap, but despite this launch one more ICO
What you think about this ?

In this there is nothing to worry about. Typically, most ico projects tie the soft cap to a cryptocurrency, and not to fiat money. Since bitcoin and etherium decreased in price by 2 times during correction, some projects were forced to raise the soft cap, so that they had the necessary amount in dollars.

Some ico for this period have postponed the release of token to the exchange so that it does not decrease in price sharply.

Softcap is the minimum funding goal of ICO, and the team only needs this softcap to continue their project.vHardcap is the ultimate goal of ICO funding, why maximum? since tokens are counted before the ICO begins, teams can not increase their total tokens for sale to the public, it's because they will gain decreased confidence from investors. Some companies complete the project before the deadline. and When a soft cap is achieved in an ICO project then the project is halfway successful. Investors will think that teams only target money instead of ecosystems. And if hardcap is achieved, it means the project looks promising by many investors. It also helps us know whether ICO is good or not.

Thank you for this wonderful information. I got the attention now of checking the soft cap and hard cap of a project. Based on experience is there an ideal amount of soft cap and hard cap?

For a project (ICO) the softcap is minimum needed money to complete the project.Dev team will go for the project if
the project reach this amount of money. And the hard cap is the maximum monetargeted by the company for the project.
Yeah it will always better to invest in a project which is reached its softcap and maybe halfway to it's hardcap. But now a days many project who reached softcap is scam.Sobalways make decisions after some research and before investment do some research.

It can be a good indicator too, because if you come to think of it if those Softcap and hardcap are really too ambitious i think that's the time you'll be needing to counter check it if it's legit or a fraud. Most of the Fraud or Scam ICO's as of now really make a huge soft and hard cap together with large bounty pool in order for the people to be attracted. And also for the bounty participants to advertise it and look a legit one. I've encountered so many of this here.

It is the limit of the particular ICO fund raise. So if the fund of the ICO project reached the soft cap or the minimum capital probably the project will continue their works to develop it to be more attractive and efficient to the users. Therefore you can make a profit of it somehow. But reaching the hard cap or the maximum capital are quite impossible except when there are some big whales driven into it. So far and so good, if you can invest the ICO which have reached the hard cap then you'll be lucky to earn 20 to 50 times from your capital.

These are fundraising goals. Soft cap is the lower limit, the minimal amount required for the project to be considered. If the project does not reach its soft cap, the team will return the funds. On the other hand, hard cap is the maximum amount a crowdsale will receive.

Agree but without getting a softcap of the ICO the project will not proceed because they cant proceed without of that money. Well it is also a sign to the devs if their coin will be a success if they reach the Softcap. Now the hardcap really the maximum amount they can handle which they will end the ICO if they reach it. What important is softcap is reach within the deadline so that they could start their roadmap/plans

Usually a soft cap is just a very small amount but we investors like the ICO to be successful by reaching its hard cap because there is a bigger
chance of success rate and of course as an investor we want a faster return of our investment so we can again invest it to other ICOs.

I think that Hard Cap and Soft Cap play a big role. If the project can not collect the Soft Cap, then it means that the interest in the project is very small or completely absent. This tells us that such a project will not be successful. As for Hard Cap, if the project reaches this level, it means that the interest of investors and users to the project is good. But there is also a bad side, the Admins can simply take the money and disappear with them. But in any case, these indicators greatly influence the outcome of the projects.

Yes it can rate how success the project, hard cap and soft both is the fund rising target. hard cap is the maximum amount of fund rising and soft cap is the  minimum amount of fund collection . if any new company reached hard cap then its called the good project becuase its reach the maximum target .
