At the moment, altcoins will fall in price with sharp movements of bitcoin prices almost always. While altkoins are very dependent on bitcoin. As soon as the altkoins can become independent of bitcoin, then we will be able to see how the prices of altcoyins will not change much at the sharp jumps in the price of bitcoin.

Well, it will depend on the alts we are talking about. Some of the altcoins have stayed strong in the market and some of them just fall and stumble. I guess it will depend on the team behind every coins.

Of course it will , when Bitcoin start its rally to 25k , it will be blood bath of altcoins ).

Precisely, its very normal. This is cryptocurrency we really must consider the price volatility and be not too confident because everything will dump but of course it will bounce back. Pumps and dumps is the game you must know how to play it well.

Many altcoins may even die soon because the last year knew many shit coins and many scam ICOs. Only altcoins related to good projects will survive and rise in 2018.

A good question now even if this was posted Dec. 20.
Somehow I am in a little panic with all this pump that is happening with all the altcoins.
I dont even know where it came from. I am lazy to read about each of them.
I do believe in one that I have. It is because of their marketing strategy and investors coming in. But the others, this could be because they need to reach the value they have when bitcoin was still low.

As soon as we bitcoin gaining momentum in price, we should expect altcoin to lose some of it's capital to bitcoin. Bitcoin is still prefered to the best of altcoin available to day in cryptocurrency market

Undoubtedly true because we all know digital currencies are written down in codes and that glitch may trigger any time soon. But if you're talking about alt coins crashing from their current price down low, then it is still possible since digital currencies are volatile in nature.

Some of the altcoins have still a long way to go. I am talking about ETH and LTC. They I think have some innovations and are now used for daily transactions, I think it will not crash anytime soon.

Will altcoins crash again ?
Actually the crashing on the price within alternative coins is just normal due to the fact that there are too many altcoins that are already existing and admit it or not, there are really altcoins which are somehow alike from each other that makes partition of the total number of participants or population of cryptocurrency users which makes them crash because some altcoins are never been noticed by consumers making it useless to the market. But all altcoins do have potential to raise their prices anytime.

Yes it will but not this month, altcoins are still on their momentum and I do hope that it will continue to pump higher along with bitcoin. But we will surely see bloody market again if bitcoin take off road to $20k again. But don't be scared because altcoins are great.

Will altcoins crash again ?

It would depend on the presence of the factors that have caused the crash to start. For example, just recently, when bitcoin has surged in price, it had a negative effect on most altcoins across the market. Since many people shifted attention and focus on bitcoin after its increase in value, there were not so many transactions and deals that focused on altcoins, unfortunately, that prompted for some altcoins to die out or have a stand still in value. Fortunately, many developers have already felt that they must do something about it, and now, many of them are pumping the value of their coins and are increasing their market caps.

I would say unlikely for those strong and highly anticipated ones like POWR, QSTAMP, REQ. Only exception is like the big ones like ETH rocketed something to a scale similar like BTC and history would repeat on the market again. Still, many altcoins had already showed lack of dependencies on BTC/ETH so should be safe as long top 5 coins are stable,

You guys really need to consider that Bitcoins Dominance decreased alot the past weeks. So if BTC starts to grow again it might not have such a bad influence on ALTs.

That is exactly what I am thinking about
I am expecting such a crash. If that happens, I will exchange most of my bitcoins for altcoins.
The altcoins are too expensive right now.

You can't say in general that "altcoins" will crash. There are enough altcoins who are innovative and will stay and rise

I think totally opposite. In my opinion, bitcoin and top 5 -10 coins will be steady, little up and little down. But altcoins will give us a lot of opportunities to make big money. So I'm trying to catch penny coins which is super cheap but has some potential for the future.

I'm sure altcoins, or at least some will crash in the future, especially if Bitcoin has a bull run, or someone decides to fork Bitcoin once more, then a crash is a possibility.
