I see that bitcoin is the best coin first because of his price which is very high and impressiv and this currency is really promessing. It can give the opportunity to any one to be rich.

With LN bitcoin still has some chances of becoming a currency, ethereum as it is it's only for tokens and shady ICOs, nothing more.
As soon as we have LN, all these 'slow transaction' noobs will start to take their words back. Funny thing is that people have been saying that Bitcoin is slow and expensive for more than a year, where they also state that there are better alternatives out there, but they are still using it.  If Bitcoin is indeed slow and expensive for you, then why not switch instead of complaining for more than a year? Every person is free to do what he pleases, so go for it I would say. Ether's best days are over, it's just that people don't want to admit defeat. It's hard to admit defeat when you bought at peak levels months ago, and suddenly had to swallow a +50% loss. Governments are cracking down on ICO's, which means Ether's market will continue to shrink. |

I really don't think that there will be any coin that will take the place of bitcoin, when bitcoin first was created it had a new idea, an idea that aims to change the way we use money on the internet, to give the power to the peopel and free us from the goverment's control, and also to make our lives much easier with faster transactions and lower fees, but as time went on this coin changed from being a digital currency to an investment , and with it come new coins that were trying to get the same success, the point is bitcoin was the first and unless other coins have better ideas they won't be successfull as bitcoin is. |

It is the pioneer in cryptocurrency so the buyers think that bitcoin is safer that those new cryptos. It is the best investment for those traders because of high growth rate. And no one owns bitcoin unlike those ICOs that are potential scam.
Bitcoin looks like the leader of the crypto currencies and is the current leading coin. Bitcoin is better than any other coin because it has the most room for growth and it is what most of the people know. People invest most in bitcoin and maybe invest in altcoins to gain more bitcoin because out of all cryptos, bitcoin has the most highest price. |

Bitcoin is not the best but bitcoin is the coin with the most users, it is the first coin that introduce digital currency, and all of trading is using bitcoin as the currency, so that makes bitcoin got the highest transaction volume and dominated the market

At this point, I dont not see bitcoin to be in any competition as its more of a goldfather of all altcoins out there and being a first generation cryptocurrency its in a league of its own. What do you think will realistically will take Bitcoins nr1 spot in the future? Bitcoin Cash maybe? According to coinmarketcap there is a very small gap between ethereum and BCH which will make bitcoin cash the second biggest crypto coin and maybe a potential candidate for number one spot but before that time comes bitcoin the old timer still rules. |

A lot of ordinary people who have heard only once about cryptocurrencies will probably give Bitcoin as an example. Bitcoin is the widest known cryptocurrency right now. Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency so no wonder why they heard about it. Bitcoin got a lot of attention recently due to its increasing value. There a few good alternatives to Bitcoin but why would we abandon it if we can upgrade it and make it faster? Bitcoin is being used by hundred thousands of people, that's why it has problems with scalability.

I think nobody here is trying to demonstrate the supposed superiority of bitcoin over the new altcoins that continually emerge, because they have all learned from the bitcoin experience and have tried to improve in some way the deficiencies that have already been clearly identified. But the fact that its technology can now seem primitive, the fact of having resisted all the adversities to become a reference of the current economy makes it intrinsically valuable and the pattern that all other altcoins seek to imitate.

The real problem of bitcoin are the transaction fees, nothing more, and yes, of course that the time that we have to wait to receive some confirmations over our transaction are a big headache, but that is normal, i dont know why everybody is complaining about it.
I can tell you of two more problems: 1. right now the top 4 mining pools own 51% of the processing power, and even worse these are all Chinese, If china decided they want to close down bitcoin by processing only empty blocks, nobody could stop them 2. Huge privacy issues. Because all transactions are public, if I can identify an address that belongs to you (if we ever do a transaction) then I will know exactly how much bitcoins you still have and how much you are earning. A recent torrent tracker was recently called out for the large amount of "donations" it received because of this. |

I think bitcoin is the best crypto you can have rather than other coins, because crypto currencies started in bitcoin and those other crypto came out when bitcoin become popular, but on the first discovery of bitcoin there is no competence on that era, only bitcoin is crypto but when bitcoin become more interesting and its value is growing high then many cryptos came out just to compete on bitcoin.

To determine which one is better between Bitcoin and other coins such as Litecoins, it first needs to be tailored to your needs. If you plan to use crypto currency as a medium of exchange in the transaction process, then Litecoin is a better option. Inspite of numerous alternative coins coming out in the crypto world, I still believe that bitcoin is the best coin among all others. It has set the standard in the cryptocurrency as it is the first ever digital currency ever known and released. It still has the most promising value increase (just look at its growth on the chart) that attracts investors. Also, valuenof altcoins are still dependent on the value of btc so basically it is the basis of the crypto industry.
