No i don't think, the price of digital coins ( bitcoin, ethereum and other alternative coins) goes down doesn't mean they are making withdrawal large of fiat money but it is just fluctuation in the price, usually the price will goes up again in couples weeks later because some reasons Bitcoin is Digital Gold
Ligthning network will be (coming up) - Digital Currency
- Smart implementations
- Top Notch Devs
- Envisioned by Satoshi
While the price of bitcoin goes up again the price of alternative coins will follow the bitcoin's price, so just relax dude the price will be rising soon.

Not worried about long term value.  But, something is driving the sudden sell off of the top coins.  They are not exchanging for other crypto like usual.. everything is down.

I'd rather call it a market correction. Cryptocoins are becoming more like a ponzi than what they were intended to do, i.e. to be an universal payment platforms without any middleman.

in a few days ago, I make a lot of profit because some of my coins increase and I can sell it at high prices. but since yesterday, when bitcoin price is down, I see the altcoin price is down too and I think I will wait for a while because my another coin reduces too. I think soon, the altcoin price will be back to increase and in that time, I can sell again like a few days ago.

This is it. Just hodl or buy more crypto. After this correction, i believe it will then be time for bitcoin and altcoins to reach all time highs we only imagined.

I also do believe the term is "cash-out" like "cashing out their profits." Maybe a grammar nazi can come in and correct us but i believing "cashing-in bitcoin" means putting money "in" bitcoin while cashing "out" refers to taking money out from bitcoin. Maybe i'm just rambling but hey, coins are down and have nothing to do but wait and hodl.

Perhaps. It might be because it is holiday season and there is a need to have some money for shopping and presents-giving. But this is not something to worry about. Because for the past several years, the pattern will always be that when there is a dump especially a wider one, what follows is that there will be more fiat to come in. I know there are a lot of people out there who will take this opportunity to buy a lot of coins. They are cheap right now.

Better do some cashing in before the correction. But still, reserve some for investment. It is better to have a backup plan than to feel sorry later.

I still have my trust with bitcoin even it showed sudden dropping in price, instead of seeing it as something bad, I made it as an opportunity tl buy more of it. Surely in the coming days we can see bitcoin regaining its highest peak and possibiy go beyond it. Since bitcoin is at drop right now I already bought good amount. Its the wisest thing to do, above all investment bitcoin is the most profitable one

If you feel like something will went wrong, just be sure that you will just be investing what you can just afford lose. Honestly, bitcoin is risky, it has volatile feature. Those who are just risk taker are the one who really go into it. During this time, lot of negative feedback are becoming a factor why it becomes slowing down. Once it gain trust from people and good publicity. Surely it will rise more than qe ever expect.

Yeah the Christmas cash-in
Yeah you could say that, but mostly people are just following the trend it's just panic selling. BTC and several other altcoins have seen maybe new investors in past few months, people who don't know anything about cryptos are just going to follow the herd and sell as soon as they see little drops in price. That's what is happening right now, but now that price is dropped more people are going to invest and price will be back up soon.

If all of the sudden everyone will do cash in. Then there is a major risk of lowering the bitcoins price back to 5-10k. I hope it will not happen.

No, I don't think everyone, BTC reached a decent pricing point to sell though that might be why people are selling, not specifically because the coin will collapse

In 2013, everyone thought that bitcoin had reached $ 1200 and less than 800-1000 would not fall, but bitcoin fell to $ 250.
Many do not know what a real panic sale is.

I saw that kind of scenario before. So yes, the bitcoin price will go up again, maybe in a matter of days only. Large investors are now buying again because bitcoin has low price. Traders are happy with this kind of situation.

This is an isolated case because people need money for their christmas and holiday season needs therefore we expect more of this until the new years eve in which we need paper money to buy, to give and to celebrate these occations. Next month for sure everything will be back to normal hoarding.

Imagine waking up tomorrow with 2.5k bitcoins. everyone would be selling and screaming here and the smart people buying all their cash on BTC

Haven't you seen the market value right now? It had already done a sudden drop. Would you still hold? or just cut your losses. Right now, the toughness of the investors will be tested.
