In my opinion, in order to overcome depression it is necessary to have a close person. It does not necessarily have to be a doctor but also a friend, a boyfriend or girlfriend, a husband or wife, a brother or a parent ........ never alone.

Try to talk to your friend about it. Ask what is bothering her, she needs to talk to someone about her problems. So be that person! I am sure that it will already make her happier knowing that someone cares and wants to help.
Advise her to do something useful like work, helping someone, learning something new. It will take her mind off things for a while. And later on, she might already look her problems a little differently (from the better side).
Remind her that every person has problems in his life. She is not alone. And it is likely that someone else has the same problem as she does.

Work on reasons why you are depressed and solutions for them, except suiciding Grin . Ask your smart friends and elders especially your parents about this matters and come up with a good solution. And not to mention, do something useful and effective to get over the depression.

Depression starts with simple thoughts of unhappiness. Make sure you don't nurture these thoughts in your mind, as these thoughts are far more dangerous for your overall health and well-being than a simple physiological illness. The early signs of depression are lack of sleep, (or excessive sleep,) lack of motivation, anxiety, laziness, propensity towards loneliness and mood swings. It's recommended to treat it in early stages and not too late, when it becomes difficult to treat. Once it settles in completely, it can also cause some physical illnesses such as diabetes or cardiovascular diseases. The best solution is to see a therapist nearby, if you happen to detect its early signs.

Hi, I just wanna ask how to overcome depression? I have a friend and she keeps telling me that she don't to live anymore and that it is better to die, she has lot of problems but she just keep it on her own, she is so depress and i can't find the right words to make her feel better. And also can't a person overcome depression on his/her own?
Find someone to talk. Some stranger will be better. Someone who doesn't know you and who'll listen to all your problems. Find ways to take away your stress and thoughts.

We can overcome depression doing various thing such as listening songs, watching tv, etc. If the the symptoms are worst, you can get a consultation from a doctor.

To overcome the depression you need to do things that make your self-busy like watching comedy movies. You need to laugh to feel free from depression or playing your favourite sports. So many ways to get over from your bad feelings. Always talk to your friends about your problem in life, also, you need to eat and sleep well to think good to lose your depression.

Look for support from people who make you feel safe. Try to go out, participate in social activities. Find ways to help others. Join a support group. Get a pet, a pet can bring companionship into your life.

Depression is a serious mental health issue that needs serious attention and be concerned with. Many people are suffering depression especially teenagers since that stage is very crucial and fragole when it comes to mental health development. The number of people who are depressed increases that is why we need to know how to overcome depression. Coping up with depression is quite hard since it requires the help of your loved ones and a professional and expert care. But generally, what we can do is to first admit to ourselves that we are depressed and we need help. Second, we must learn how to manage things little by little. Third, we must focus on to the good things instead of the bad side. And lastly, we must seek help from our family and psychologist since they know how to manage it and they will take care of you and your mental health.

People should fight it. Join outdoor activities like volunteering for cleaning the beaches or forest. You will find friends there. Internet is very helpful to find other people so utilize it and it will help you overcome your depression little by little.

as a teenager and student, i have face a lot of problems. i experience different kind of depression. in studies, financial and love life.

but ahead all of this. i never think about doing things such as rebel or suicide. i always think that this is all just a problem and i can overcome it if i face it. i always pray and think about my family. inspiring yourself is a very effective. plus talking to some one that can understand you, will help you a lot to overcome depression

There are different ways to overcome depression such as: physical exercises, active communication, consistent and methodical solution of problems. You can also try medical treatment if nothing else can help you. Anyway you shouldn't just give up.

A person who is depressed needs his family and friends around. He might commit suicide.

He/she should focus on the positive, mingle with the right crowd, work with right purpose and set your mind on the things that can give you good success. Avoid being with negative people and wrong crowd, give yourself freedom to choose not dictated by others. Be mature and aim for Good things. Don't forget to always put God first.

Honestly when we say depression will be able to cause at many cases,probably depression are trigger from the following aspect based on their emotional condition and activity like,personal problem,family history,serious medical illness,hopeless,powerless,and related issue from drugs and alcohol problem disorder behavior,so that nowadays because of many changes specially in climate change in our surrounding everyone has prone to develop depression ,but if you have identify the main factor condition it also seek on solution after all and  just always think positive Cheesy
