I remembered that there where petitions for FTC and CNC for supporting their listing on BTC-e, which is the largest altcoin exchange so far.

They were "donated" 110k NVC in order to list Novacoin.  When it was discovered, supposively BTC-e destroyed the coins by transfering them to an address with no possible private key.  The whole thing was beyond sketchy

This is why market capitalisation is the true indicator of a coin's value (market price of coin multiplied number of coins in existence).

They were "donated" 110k NVC in order to list Novacoin.  When it was discovered, supposively BTC-e destroyed the coins by transfering them to an address with no possible private key.  The whole thing was beyond sketchy

It is arguably the third most popular coin currently after BTC and then LTC (and LTC popularity on the decline). Definitely an opportunity for them and I would rather not keep using mcxnow.  Realsolid does not strike me as trustworthy at all.

Primecoin isn't searching for Mersenne primes, it is searching for Cunningham chains, and it's broken many world records already. The utility of all primes is debatable, but remind me again what the utility of the SHA256 PoW algorithm is again? Oh right, nothing.
