Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk  by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Thanks
Yes, 500$ is good for one single coin but that's for very long hodl.

It is dangerous,if you are thinking to do this.IN my OPINION you should diversify ur risk to invest more than one altcoins.

Investing in one place its too risky, there should be diversification. If one side going decline another side will get the profit so its a time to take decision save your investment before it loosing.

certainly at risk. But if you want to wait then it's not a great problem. But if you don't wait, certainly a little-a little be confused and could even lose.

yes it is a verry risky move to put all your eggs in one basket because if the coin you choose have failed then you will also loose it all your invested capital that is why it is still recomended to diversify or divide your funds on  to some different kind of coins but dont just randomly pick up a coin that you think itl'll pump. always remember you need to do a quick or deep research on it before jumping in to the water. gudluck..

I share the free strategy of Iso, you put money on 10 top Iso, and with 99% of the output you deduce more than entered in times !!!

Honestly with just 500$ I would just put it in one altcoin you believe in and hope for the best. I would start thinking about diversifying coins when you hit around the 2000$ mark. Also, think about how much time you have on your hands. Investing in more coins requires more time because you will have to continuously research them.

No matter how much do you have putting all your money in 1 altcoin is too risky indeed. If we were talking about bitcoin it would be a different story buy for alt coins personally i would not take that risk. You could wake up and see you lost %50 of your investment in a nigh. That's not a good scenario.

All the alts are becoming more expensive, and if you have chosen a reliable project, then you will make a profit. But if you chose a few coins, this would give you more profit and a lower risk.

Correct, choosing few coins can lessen the risk on investment. At least if one fails, you have other options. Since investment on cryptocurrency is very risky.

Putting all eggs in one basket is risky indeed, I wouldn't do that if I were you because you might regret it one day. Try putting your money in around 3-4 coins first since your capital is just around $500. At least if one coin goes up, there would be a possibility the other one would dump and at least you won't be on loss.

Yes, I think in investing there should always be a back-up plan. In investing you will not always be winning, so better have other options just in case the plan didn't worked.

Never put all your eggs in one basket. If it fails or drops 80% it will lose all your funds.

obiovusly it is. As the old saying goes, "dont put all your eggs in one basket." when you drop that basket, you know what happens XD What you can do however to limit risky investment is by joining early projects that have airdrops. I recently joined Semux - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2159012.0, looks like a pretty good project to start with.

ANyway, always diversify bruh, and keep some BTC's! it is truly the king of crypto. When that guys moves (BTC) alts will surely bleed again.

I suggest divide your investment into 2-4 altcoins we can never expect how volatile prices everyday if you focus on only 1 coins maybe if price will decline and took long to recover its a big loss for your investment.

This is the hardest part on which you would really have a hard time to recover since you have invested or go all in on 1 coin which its indeed really very risky. If you decision and the price do go on what you expected then it would really also be a rewarding thing because we do all know the higher the risk the higher the profits but when price goes opposite then expect the reverse thing.

Definitely, very risky. However, I am also proud of your belief in investing. Just like other members, I advise you to invest more than 1 coin. Eg Bitcoin and Alt.

Its a very high risk, but you can get a very high reward for it.
You can cope with the risk by doing a thorough research.

worth the risk if you put that in a sure altcoin like eth and waves but that's too risky if you are investing all of it into a not popular altcoin with the potential and higher probability to multiply its price, the higher the risk the higher the return, but a normal thinking trader will not invest all his money in 1 altcoin because they are still looking forward to the future that they can secure a money for themselves rather than hoping for a sheer luck.
