based on my experience, it would be very detrimental if the altcoin is down in a very distant percentage. maybe on the other hand, the profits you get will be really big, but, of course the risk is huge. I suggest to do this, when you really get good information about the coin.

my opinion, better to put all your money on Neo
better future

Neo generates gas, Neo/ gas Claim its only clicking a button in a neon Wallet for Example.

https://neo.org/download
reddit.com/r/NEO/
NEO already pumped and while the profits you can get are good enough it is going to be nothing compared to what other people got so it is better to look for another promising projects that can give you more profits, now investing in a single project may be risky but that is irrelevant if you are able to select the right coin to invest.

at risk is certainly yes, but if you are brave and sure then it's not a problem. What matters can wait for one coin you have it could rise higher and do not produce losses for you.

yes i think its too risky to invest all your money in one altcoins , For this will diminish your opportunity to profit  you should have at least 5 altcoins and hold it when one of them go x5  .

Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk  by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Thanks
For 500 dollars its okay to go all in just don't dump your coins if you are investing in an ICO as prices tend to go up once the hit an exchange which should pay back the investment and do limit your self to a list which does not always reflect the best projects on the market

Sometimes risk takers got a lots of profits if they really understand how the investment works, if you think that the said alt will be successful and you are willing to wait then it's up to you, it is your money and your decision though, I'm sure most of us do have different position regarding to this and the better way to decide is to understand how will you take the end result, if  losing would be okay with you then go for it and invest everything but if not, then divert some of your money to other alts.

Honestly, I don't even put all my money in one Big Cap coin or stock. Risks need to be avoided or minimized at all costs no matter how 'trustworthy' and solid a certain company or coin is.

Honestly, yes its too risky to put all your money in one altcoin because it can may be lost.
You should try to invest in other coin that really give you a good profit. Just do a research and think carefully before invest.

i would say, yes, it's too risky, to put all in one alt. But as you say, your a small investor and you could look at the $500 as a FIRST investment. do your research wisely, as what goes up also goes down.

In my opinion don't put all your money in one investment i think haft. I don't see anything risky in investing on bitcoin unless your care less on your transaction on other people. Bitcoin is safe in wallet and the price don't need to worry because price is continue in impressive price increase.

Too risk? Yes
You can lost a big part of your portfolio? Yes
YOu can be very well rewarded? Yes

It depends on how hard can you support. If you don't care about losing your money and believe that this project can go extremally well, why not?

In my own opinion, yes its too risky! Why ? Simply because you dont have variety of investment. You'll just focus on one coin. What if it , does not success? Then you dont have any back up . So for me it was too risky to do. If you really want an assurance that you capital will comeback, then you should be wise in choosing and making decision in cryptocurrency. You should always have plan a head of time , so if your first plan failed you still have your back-up.

Try adding more coins in your mind it is such a waste if your holding just one coin there are so many altcoins out there like XPEC, REBL and TCASH

If you realize this then I think you should have a backup plan for your property instead of investing all in such an altcoin. Investing in altcoin is very profitable but the risk is also due to altcoin is not stable and vulnerable to the impact of the market, the activities of the prices of large investors. I think you should have at least 2 coin to invest, which should have a stable coin like bitcoin or Etherum. This will help you recover your capital if altcoin is heavily discounted.

Buying a single coin is too risky. Either you earn big money or you lose big money.
Of course, in the meantime, many pumps will fly in front of you, you are just watching Wink dont use just 1 basket for your eggs.

if you want to put only in 1 project, at least don't put all your money in a single price. split it and made it as back up so if the coin price drop you still can buy more in lower price with your back up capital

Of course, in the meantime, many pumps will fly in front of you, you are just watching Wink dont use just 1 basket for your eggs.

The most accurate strategy here is having different ones in your altcoin basket, maybe 10-15 different ones. This reduces the risk significantly and the chance of catching great pumps increases drastically.
