I am confused, I thought BTC-Garden was still selling IPO shares (That all the IPO still remains unfulfilled) however I am seeing many shares being sold below the IPO price. If people are already selling below IPO does this mean BTC-Garden will have a tough time selling more IPO shares?

Avalon just got 200 Million in funding to produce 20nm chips.  I'll let you infer what that means.

Thanks for spreading a confirmed fake news.

Thanks for spreading a confirmed fake news.

People assumed it was fake and was in reference to the 2011 article about the Avalon VC funding round.  Since then the WSJ published a more in depth article that does not look like it is fake.

If you want to keep your head in the sand, that's up to you.

I'm keeping my substantial btcgarden investment as I feel they are the best positioned to compete in the new market.  It's up to you to decide what to do with your investment.

Thanks for the update, aiwell.

Infos of our 1st-batch with 12+300(Engineering Sample &Mass Production) wafers: 312 wafers * 2000chips/wafer*400MH/chip = 249TH/s ,any overclock will let the estimate even higher.

We have received our sample-PCB and it is being tested in every aspect. Everything s running well so far. ( Mass production of PCBs will start later and can be finished within one week in Shenzhen)
We also dealed with an acquaintances packaging factory to shorten the Package period from 10days to 3days. I.E. we will get our chips in hand only 3-4 days later after out of  Fab.

this is not the final price since it is based on the shippment from this Aug. most likely our products will be cheaper than this.

I would love to see some pictures of those sample boards, too! Smiley

Anyway. Can you give an estimate when the first batch will arrive and starts to mine?

Let's assume for a second that the VC investment in Avalon is true.

Wouldn't that mean that BTCGARDEN is worth more, not less?  The panic selling only makes sense if the company isn't well positioned.  Of the companies competing in this space, Asicminer has the best shot at competing due to their current market position/experience and capital.  They however are already highly valued and investment in them at the current time has a limited upside.

BTCGARDEN I believe are next in line of those companies able to realistically compete in a meaningful way.  Now that they've raised the 3 million from the IPO, there really isn't anything in their way in delivering on their plan.  The upside for us of course is that there is a huge potential upside from the current value.

After all, any one company can only control ~35%-~40% or it becomes self defeating.

Thoughts?

No preorder obligations, plenty of funding, and solid business plan. Hands down the best chance of success.

I don't understand how a CEO can post their business plan in a poor chart like this one.

Good morning everyone. I received a response from Douglas McMahon, Senior Managing Director of tavistock (of which Joe Lewis is Chair of).

Quote
Could you confirm recent rumors, or that Joe Lewis has an interest into Bitcoin?

No interest at all. WSJ is not true.

Sorry, I know that it seems like hindsight, but I believe a lot of people had zero ability to process logic when they determined this story was real.  When a baby shits their diaper, I would even suggest stepping right back to take a look, rather than becoming directly involved.   Let someone else get messy.

Take a step back next time and look at it.  Ask yourself, "$200 million?  Why the fuck.."
It works..

Would someone translate this? Thanks!

Google translate (partially for the win):

Thank you for all investors all shareholders! Our IPO success.

Due to time constraints, and until and everyone mentioned concerns, I will be mainly in the TALK posted on the official update and follow-up. Welcome to concerns over there. In addition
1 Please do not open new posts in our forum discussion IPO thing,
Two really do not want to stick with English shareholders can wait, later on we may have a special shareholders' version, all shareholders will receive from the mailbox into the Password

Still almost unreadable, but it's something :p.

Unless this company starts providing updates and shows some forward progress, they're going to have a really hard time dumping another 2 million shares at above .016. we're on track to be .01 by Monday. Not looking good.

It's Monday. Sky didn't fall, stock is at IPO price ... sorry Rawted, but I'm using this as an example of the kind of thing most investors would do well to ignore.

Want to try and time the market and day trade? Go ahead and participate in these discussions and see if a few will panic sell every time someone slams an investment or news does or doesn't happen. Want to make long term returns? Have some patience and the will to ignore the noise.

This post is making too much sense...

Heh, we're investing in a pseudo-security for a firm making as of yet unproven hardware to produce revenue from administrative fees paid to process transactional proof of work for a 4 year old crypto currency that could blow up or change the world for decades to come. Isn't that excitement enough? Wink

lol what a comment from post above

have you seen the volume? its nothing all it takes is one person to sell off big and you will be eating your words

Apologies if I have offended you, my choice of words might have been a bit strong.
Either way, let's find out who will be right, shall we.

Up until now I have seen one big sale that caused a little bit of panic and then the market recovered back above IPO.

But if some whale wants to dump again, sure no problem, come at me bro!

This contains zero interesting information:

"Shareholders who really do not want to follow the english thread, please wait for the to be opened dedicated board. you'll get a password for that board via email."

To summarize, he was just saying:
He'll do updates here rather than over there, and asked not to start new threads regarding IPO there.
there will be a dedicated board on btcman.com for Chinese shareholders.
