Add ripple ,Steemit , hempcoin and Litecoin. They wont let you down if you invest some cash in it. They will be demanded in 2018 than any altcoins I have known. My analyst is based on their past 6 months performance.

Ethereum ripple litecoin are my choice for hodl in this year 2018 i can see the potential to grow in the marketcap, but my main focus actually are in bitcoin i think the prediction for bitcoin for this year are have good profits i earn if i hodl in the long terms as my investment.

Since you are looking to hold, rather than flip in 2018, I would stay away from coins which already have a large market cap (e.g. > 750m) and are widespread, unless you are looking to "protect" your invesments (if that's even possible in the crypto space). I would select those coins which have a proven product (i.e. excluding most ICO's), have a reasonable, but not massive user base, have currently a market cap of 15m - 150m, and perhaps are in a growing segment.

Funfair in your list, I would agree with, the others not so. Another great example of wise investment is XSPEC (SpectreCoin) : proven technology, dedicated and growing community, growing segment (privacy), low market cap (about 60m or about 0.2% of the privacy coin space) and thus huge potential for growth.
