ANN threads are effective for sure. But i am not sure about bounty campaigns. There are so many bounty hunters they open useless social media accounts to get more free tokens. A more professional advertising strategies are a must for icos.

Each project is different, so there is no one best way to promote an ICO. Ann threads are becoming useless, actually (for most projects), as readers are overwhelmingly bounty hunters and not investors. Projects now need an individual marketing plan to be able to quickly find they core target audience.

First and foremost - be honest. Don't offer mountains of gold and skyrocketing ventures if you know there won't be any, but do offer real info and plan for real profit.

To do this and not have yourself left with empty pockets you need an ICO based on something real. Medicine, for example, is an everyday necessity for everyone.
I myself am looking at TeachMePlease right now (loved this video: https://teachmeplease.io/video/mp4/teach_me_1920x1080_eng.mp4 - no water, just pure idea in 5-6 phrases). Looks promising - and why? Because fair, effective and accessible education is needed for everyone. So why not support it?

For me, best promote for ICo is a social media.
But this will be effective for those who have friends from different countries

I think there are several ways to promote an ICO. One of them is the signature campaign here. The other best ways are facebook, twitter, reddit, Youtube and Telegram campaign.

I think it is best for ICO future if you promote it via bounty campaigns by the help of this forum. I have seen some members having more than 50,000 followers, you can imagine how much it would be helpful for an ICO if shared by such several members. Both the facebook and twitter shares are good.

I agree with this one. ANN thread is an important factor in attracting future investors and crypto-enthusiasts. The more creative it is the more attractive it will be. Just like that 'one' famous ann thread that made use of its style of being 'secretive and mysterious.' It did gain a lot of attention from the bitcointalk community that's why I think ANN really is effective.

You can try to build a good social grup chat that gives active moderation to the investors and education. Just try to open the announcement thread and if a lot of people are interested in your project and your announcement thread will be crowded. but if they are not interested with it and then your announcement thread there will be no a lot of people are commenting in there.

I think social chatting group is one of the best choice, especially the telegram or wechat group, you can find and release many information.

Need a good announcement of the project, promo posts on large resources (medium, steemit are suitable, only it is necessary to watch that the authors have real subscribers). A good active channel in the telegram (which becomes the norm for projects)

Almost all Cryptocurrencies announcements and bounty campaigns are made in this forum Bitcointalk so their coin will be recognized by Cryptocurrency enthusiasts otherwise they couldn't meet their soft and hard capital.

Social Media is one of the effective ways to to promote an ICO but Bitcointalk forum is more effective because we are all cryptocurrency enthusiasts and not all of us are simply campaign bounty hunters but lots of members in the forum are investors. Before I was just a simply joining signature bounty campaigns but I found out that I couldn't miss an opportunity to invest in a particular coin knowing that the coins are cheap and the project is awesome.
