I am not a fan of social media and most of the time, those ICO"s who were aggressive on social media will turn out to be a scam. For me, social media is not a professional way of promoting ICO. Whenever there is a post on social media, most of the time they click on the one who posted it and if that person is using a bogus account. No one will trust the ICO.

best way would be the way people accept it. this can be a row of things. obtaining trust is one way,

i bet we will sooner or later also see violent icos, that enforce themselves on the people in a territory, trying to illegalise competitors. similar like bitlicense.

Signature campaign is helpful to spread the name for it to be familiar for the investors and contributors. From the name, you can get the idea why the project has been created. Signature is mostly used to promote the ICO because it is link directly on more info about the project and learn more about it.
