Anyone would like the scalmer ICO to die in 2018. And everyone would invest money only in good projects and did not lose their investments. Because dirty scamers did not even give out the currency to buyers or the price after ICO fell to the ground and the developers declared themselves bankrupt. But this will not happen, unfortunately. There will be less of them, even now the trend is such that people more cleverly and deliberately invest their money. If the scammers do not get a big profit, they will leave the market themselves.

In 2018, there will be more ICO, where you need to confirm your identity. Also, some states will introduce regulation of ICO on their territory.

I think ICO will still exist in 2018. all altcoin always use ICO as a place of development. some ICOs on a bounty campaign project will also end this year and some continue until 2018.

In my opinion, ICO is only a scam for most of the time, and currently lacks supervision, so there will be a bubble, but when the bubble bursts, prices of all altcoin will plummet.

Disclaimer: The text below is a personal opinion of the author. If you have a different opinion, please share it

ICO causes more and more distrust - thanks to the scammers. At this point, companies that produce and sell tokens are more focused on the product. The product is being developed and improved. And all before the token sale.

The fact is: those companies that enter the token market with a readymade product are more trustworthy. Now, few people are interested in a company that launches ICO just to make a name and earn a lot of money.

ICO is a serious campaign. It requires great resources and professionalism.

There are many companies on this path. Recently, Pavel Durov announced the creation of a light wallet and the release of the Gram token on the Telegram platform. Here is another example - KickCity, a company that has existed for two years. KickCity is engaged in the development of the event industry and issues a KCY token for further expansion of the company.

Of course not, maybe by 2018 most of the  upcoming ico I think will get even more better than before in terms of the quality of their project.
It won't die at all because there are lot of traders got their earnings in the ico project and ico bounty campaign.

I don't see any reason ICO will die in 2018.
Sure, we have to admit there are some problems with ICO, which has raised concerns among government.
Still there are many good projects out there

Nope. I think ICOs wont die, instead they will likely to be regulated as mass adoption approaches. It is just the normal scenario that despite of maasice scamming happen in ICO start-up, people likely to evolve in terms of knowledge and capability to distinguish between fishy ICO and legit ones. It is just a reflection, normal reaction of how people survive, a.k.a Survival of the fittest.

In the end, ICO bringing solution to real world will never die.

Nope, because it will only take one to two days before 2018 and still ICO are booming. Some ICOs will end next year, one to two months from now, and I guess new ICOs will start. I believe ICOs are getting development every month because of the users.

In my opinion, we will see even more projects, there will be even more scammers on the market. I think an ICO will never die. This is the best way to raise money for a good project.

It is very difficult to get rid of ICO, as most successful startups start with ICO.

If ICOs funding projects see the day, i think we will see it as a good tool like kickstarter. The number will be reduced, because scammers will not see it as a good business and will turn to the next big fast crypto thing.

This could mean that it can be a good way of getting some money, not as it is right now, but it will be another toll to invest, like trading, lending, etc.

But if ICOs devs don't see it like this and only scam projects will use it, in the middle of next year, ICOs will slowly but surely die.

Hop not. Cheesy

ICO should be more regulated by now because of the scammers, but if it's regulated then it will be centralized not decentralized.

This is difficult to solve right now.

I don't think it will. A lot of honest people are working hard for the ICO market to thrive.

I have heard the information that every day three ICO project appear in the world. Of course most of them are nothing. This tendency couldn’t fade away. But the sphere of ICO projects needs more tough rules.

I do not think ICO will die, most likely the authorities of the countries will be more attentive to such a process as ICO, but in general I think we will also be able to invest in ICO at our own risk. After all, ICO is a voluntary collection of funds for the creation of a project.

I'm a Newbie. Please Brief What do you meant by ICO.

ICO stands for Initial Coin offering. It's basically a way to 'invest' into a new coin/project. People pay money through btc/eth/etc to a group/business and give you a share of the coins/new tech they will develop. Similar to an IPO where you buy shares of a company.
