I don't think cryptos should be mixed with startups/kickstarters. Cryptos should be trustless, transparent and decentralized, ICOs are none of those things so using a blockchain platform doesn't really offer any benefits to them, in fact just giving a bad name to cryptos.

But a lot of crypto-newbies gamble with them thinking they know what they're doing and that crypto is all about pumping and dumping random "projects". These people ignore, or not even aware what crypto stands for and just giving a bad name to it. And they will eventually get burned and hate cryptos altogether. Profits aren't made from nothing, it comes from other people's losses.

I agree entirely with your opinions and it seems that you also recognize the problems regarding the quality of the ICO.

I think ICO in 2018 will be slightly different, maybe some rules are getting tougher. and the quality of ICO must be profitable for all parties. so, the point is that ICO 2018 will get better.

I hope so and if it is done well, i'm very optimistic that ICO have a future and trust ICO will have a full recovery.

That's true, as long as the markets is active in buy/sell the crypto world will not die just because other ICO is scam. Hence, investing has a risk so it is your choice to invest or not regarding if it is scam ICO, the first thing to do is make more research before entering in some projects.

I suppose that ICOs in 2018 will move to a new level. The amount of project will be reduced, but the quality should be improved for sure. Moreover I guess that in 2018 ETH will share the place of the top ICO platform with NEM, NEO and other projects.

yes a new idea indeed needs to be done to improve the quality of ICO. even my prediction, ICO in 2018 will increase in number. remember because many companies want to get a lot of results. but there should be an agency that filters out the ICO's right to slide or not so that the scammers will not be able to move again and we will not get stuck.

ICO is a serious campaign. It requires great resources and professionalism.

There are many companies on this path. Recently, Pavel Durov announced the creation of a light wallet and the release of the Gram token on the Telegram platform. Here is another example - KickCity, a company that has existed for two years. KickCity is engaged in the development of the event industry and issues a KCY token for further expansion of the company.

We will never know that ico will die.my prediction is another new coin will come in crypto market in the next year.

This is big truth and I agree with your words Because when first time heard about bitcoin then I found that ICOs are best option of making money but we need to wait for long run .
But now I am seeing that lots of ICOs are coming and going , and Most of them either scam or either cease the account where we bought tockens ( a recent example of a ICO , who launched his coin and currently I have profit of 10k$ if they make my account live ) this is really a worst thing I seen in my life with ICOs .
Well here I have investment only in particular no. Of ICOs only , which are more Legimate and looking better , and here now I can say I will no more invest in ICOs in future of 2019 , Because currently some legimate are running , so we should make profit from them .

ICOs cannot die...  They are the pregnancy of future projects..  The only way ICOs would be less popular is if projects run their businesses themselves then later launches on exchange.

we have different views and understanding about crypto here. I am also one of those people whore are thinking that this ICO offers benefits. If you are saying that this ICO should not be trusted? Then why many people earning from it? specially me, I am earning from ICO. Can you explain to us your idea how these ICO be not trusted?

We must admit that Icos in 2017 have become a repetitive thing in crypto world, it is not a problem but the real problem is that many of them are not serious and dev search only to rise the price then dumps his coins and that's over. The token is dead.
Hope for 2018, this won't be the same...

Maybe without them, there would not even be a quarter of all the altcoins that are on the top 20 at the moment.

At the moment my friend maybe ICO will be dead in 2018 just an opinion by the way. But OP is kind of an idiot. He didnt know why crypto's is created it is sometimes just to make profit and its your fault to not know the disadvantages of that and lack of knowledge leads to scamming.
