Why are people buying Ripple?

As i know Ripple is a cross-border payment system used by banks to transfer funds/money at a fast speed but with low charge across any country around the world and it is centralized. Imagine a digital currency that is backed by big banks globally and i think that's the reason why its market cap has skyrocketed that lead to the dethronement of ETC as a long time alt with the next biggest market cap in the cryptoworld.

XRP is a good coin though but you really have to be more careful because its centralized coin. People are just want to take profit easily that is why trading with XRP is good for them. The transaction fees are lower compared to bitcoin and I think social media gives big impact on the price of this coin, but if you hold much XRP then you must watch its price from time to time.

I think this coin has worth and people beleive in its pump. Every coin has a worth when it has huge number of demand. The supply should be limited while and this coin has been in demand since last few months.

The major reason people buy XRP has been answered by you at OP. Because XRP is used by banks, they patronize it, cause they trust the banks. And another is the low transaction fee. Because of its centralized nature, I don't look at it much.

One of the biggest reasons I think is the price. The new people which just came to crypto doesn't look the supply. They only look price. And the second one is  XRP is less risky because banks and governments  most probably will love xrp more than decentralized ones

Because ripple has the features required for a cryptocurrency to make it big. Big market cap, good technology, best ROI, and financial institution support like Banks. Not to mention positive reviews from cryptocurrency agencies.

People are buying ripple because it is going up and they have no clue what they are buying. I talked to a ripple buyer at length and they couldn't explain a single thing about ripple or why it would continue to rise in price. The crazy thing is I could say the same thing about Bitcoin.

A lot of new people just joined to cryptocurrency and when they see something is increasing they start to buy this kind of coins, new investitors helped Ripple pump very much.
